Chapter 13

Katherine's POV

I was walking to the kitchen for some breakfast when I heard two voices which I recognized to be of Jack's and Derek's. Yep I call him Jack now. I lowered my pace and tiptoed to the door to listen to their conversation. Yes yes I remember that eavesdropping is bad manner but it was attracting me guys.

I heard "Derek! We need to do something! They are coming for Katherine! They know you have found your mate man! Those filthy rogues won't leave her alone. Thank goddess I found the letter before anyone found it. Read it Derek..."

Then for a few minutes it was a deafening silence then I heard a crash and a vase flew through the kitchen door only to smash against the dustbin becoming thousands of little little pieces. I gasped silently to not get caught. Then I heard a loud growl followed by a snarl... "HOW DARE THEY!!! THOSE FILTHY CREATURES! I'LL KILL THEM DOGS!!" Then I guess he calmed down a bit... "I'll not let them take my sweetheart away from me. I'm gonna kill him. I'm gonna kill that alpha of rogues along with his minions! F'king assh*le!"

I felt so much happiness run throughout my body wanting me to jump around. But I was also very worried about my mate. I like him very much. No I'm not going to lie. I LOVE him! I mean why not? He's all I need. He cares for me. He loves me. He protects me. I started crying out of happiness when... "Princess! Come inside... I know you heard all of our conversation. No need to hide?"

I rolled my eyes and wiped my tears but still someone could tell I was crying because I was sniffling. Werewolves and their hearing thing. Well note that Katherine! Eavesdropping a werewolf's conversation is not easy at all! Prefer not try it! Noted...

I composed myself and went inside with my ears buring red with embarrassment. Both boys chuckled and Derek hugged me tightly. I hugged him too then I thought about rogues... What are they? I pushed myself out of the hug well not roughly and asked him confusedly. "Derek? What are rogues?"

He stiffened and told me "rogues are werewolves who are banished or ran away from their pack. They do not have a pack. But now they have formed a pack of their own. They are stronger. But not stronger than us of course. They even have an alpha... Alpha Griffin... I WANNA KILL HIM FOR TRYING TO SEPARATE YOU FROM ME!" I flinched at the last part and he noticed that. Well I noticed that his eyes are pitch black again but this time from anger.

I looked at Jackson and he mouthed to me to hug him. I did that and he started inhaling my neck while putting little kisses on my neck. I cleared my throat signalling there's someone else in the room. He pulled away to look at my face and I saw his eyes became normal. I sighed and started walking away but could I? Nope! Because someone known as my mate had a tight grip on my waist.

I gave him a glare and rolled my eyes. "So you prefer to starve and hold me?" With that he left me and stared me. I fake smiled at him and walked away swaying my hips a bit more only to earn a growl from him.

I turned around and batted my eyelashes seductively and gave him a flying kiss. Jack took the hint and ran out of the kitchen. I went to remove some eggs from the refrigerator only to be pinned on it. He started to kiss me hungrily while he was groaning and I was moaning. He pulled away and looked at me with again pitch black eyes. "I want you! You are mine! Mine to love! Mine to cherish! Mine and only MINE!"

I moaned his named but then he told me that he was Der, his wolf. I whimpered, a bit afraid of the situation only hear a growl. He lifted me and took me to the room and told me "I want people to know that you are mine... Do you give me permission and accept me to give you my mark princess?"

I closed my eyes for a moment and nodded yes. I opened my eyes and told him "I agree to bear your mark my alpha mate!" With that he marked me and I fell into darkness. The last thing I heard that "You are mine now... Sleep baby girl...Sleep...
