Chapter 14

Katherine's POV

I woke up to a pain in my neck. I led my hand to my neck to feel something ticklish that makes me moan instantly only to receive an approving growl from something. Or someone. I opened my eyes and sat up swiftly on the bed and then all the events flew to my mind.

Immediately I ran to the washroom to see the mark in the mirror. Wow! It was a howling wolf with a rose in his mouth. It was like a tattoo. The design ran from my crook of my neck to my shoulder, a bit on the arm. I was totally speechless. My mouth kept opening and closing but I could not say anything. Then I felt two hands on my waist. No need to guess. It was Derek of course.

Then I finally breathed out "It's so beautiful!" "Not more beautiful than you sweetheart... Look there's my name." I looked at the back of my neck and saw written in italic: 'Mine and Always, Derek Black' I continued staring at it for a few seconds then I realised that I fainted. "Uhm... Derek? What's the time?" "It's 2.30 in the afternoon. Same day of course!" He answered chuckling and added "You must be hungry princess?" A growl from my stomach confirmed it and I turned red crimson.

"Hahaha! You look amazing while blushing sweety. Now let's go eat something." "Wait a minute! You didn't eat?" "Nope! I was too busy watching my darling. I must say you look like an angel while sleeping" He winked while chuckling at my crimson red face for which he earned a playful smack on the chest.

We went to have lunch. We were talking and eating when someone entered the kitchen. Guess who? That not so beautiful Devina. Well not beautiful at all. I mean how can someone wear that much make up? She looked like Cinderella's step sisters. How much make up does she wear- no more like eat every day?

I rolled my eyes and got up to keep my dishes in the sink when she tripped me. She dared! Not did she dare do that? It's what you invited devilish Barbie! I took my bowl which had some soup and dumped it on her head. Uh oh I'm so sorry... Not at all! It was very funny to see little pieces of chicken, peas and carrots on her beautiful hair style. I kept my hand on my hip and stared at her while laughing hard.

Soon someone else joined me. I looked through her shoulder to see Derek rolling on the floor laughing. She screeched for a minute and stomped through the door and went god knows where while we kept on laughing and laughing. A minute later Jackson ran to the kitchen breathing heavily with a bruise on his lip and practically screamed at Derek "What the hell man! Don't block the link! It could be something important. There's a rogue attack man... And they want her. That Griffin also is there! Come on man help us!"

Both men turned to me and growled. Then Derek told me to go and take every women and children in the pack house to the basement to hide and he also gave me a gun and a knife for our protection. I kissed him on the lips and then he transformed to his wolf. I knew it was Der. I patted his fur and hugged him signalling him to take care of himself. He licked my hand and ran to his duties while I ran to my duties...
