Chapter 17
"Breakfast!" I heard being yelled in the middle of my slumber. It could only be Anna at this moment cause no one is ever this cheerful in the morning.
I felt Anna jump on the bed. "Come on sleepy head, wake up, it's time for breakfast."
I mumbled something incoherent. Then I felt the covers being violently ripped off my body. "Look here grumpy, you are going to get up this instant!" She yelled and started pulling my legs, trying to drag me out of bed. "Goodness, you're heavy."
I smiled at her feeble attempts to get me out of bed. I gave in and sat myself up. "Alright, alright, I'm up, I'm up." I said rubbing my eyes.
"Yay! Now get ready for breakfast, be down in ten!" She left the room without even waiting for my reply.
I sighed and got up to go to the bathroom. After I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I headed downstairs to see Anna putting the last plate on the dining table.
"Hey Rina! Ready to eat?"
"Morning dear." Her mother said to me when she saw me.
"Hey, um yeah, I could use a bite to eat." Just then my stomach growled loudly.
Anna laughed. "Looks like your gonna need more than a bite."
In the same instant Cam and Jordan arrived in the dining room.
"Nobody talk to me til I've had my waffles." Cam said in a groggy voice and sat down at the table. His mother came over and placed a large plate of food in front of him. We all followed after Cam and and their mother placed a plate of food in front of all of us. I dug in the moment the plate touched the table.
"Oh my god." I said at the first mouthful.
"What?!" Anna asked like something was wrong.
"Its so good." I said after I swallowed and stuffed another mouthful of food in my mouth.
"Glad you like my cooking dear." Anna's mom said as she and her husband joined us at the table. "And your uncle dropped this off for you." She handed me a duffle bag. "They're your clothes."
"Oh, thanks." I sat the bag on the floor and began eating again.
"So Rina, what do you want to do today?" Jordan who sat across from me asked.
My mouth was too stuffed to talk so I just shrugged. "Well you better pick something or we'll pick it for you." He teased.
After finally swallowing my mouthful, I responded to his so called threat. "What could you guys pick that could be so bad?"
"We're not saying its gonna be bad, we're just saying that it might be something that you don't like but we're gonna make you do anyway."
"Hey, you guys know what all the fun stuff is. I really don't care what you pick." I picked up my orange juice and finished it in four bug gulps. "Can I get some more orange juice?" I asked. When I looked up they all looked at me with a surprised expression.
"Uuuh, sure." Anna got up and got more orange juice.
"Looks like you're outshone son." Harold said to Cam who sat on the right of me at the end of the table. "I think I might have a new son." He patted me on the back. Lenda laughed along with Jordan.
"Oh come on dad, are you trying to say that she's more man than I am?"
"I'd say so." Anna said coming back and pouring me more orange juice then sat back in her seat next to me on my left.
