Truth

Camp

"SHHHH!" Ethan whispered glaring over to us.

 The rock was pushing strait up to my face I could feel the rough surface. They shouldn't find us here I thought to myself. Out of nowhere I heard footsteps and noises heading strait for us. We sunk further and further into the small gap embedded in the quarry.

 " Damn it we were so close this time, the boss is going to kill us" 

"Shut up brad we got them, maybe not this time but next time there going to slip up too many times" "HEAD BACK"

I let my breath out in a huge rush and I began to get closer to the entrance. 

" Have they gone?" Matt whispered. 

"Yeah we should set up camp before it get's dark" Ethan said as he leaned over and gave me a kiss.

 After setting up camp we built a fire. I sat there watching. The glowing embers leaped and twirled in a fiery dance, twinkling like stars in the hot swirling air before cascading to earth, setting alight the tinder dry forest. Matt moved my gaze away from the fiery glow as he sat down next to me. 

" You alight" he said. 

 I'm fine I replied as I shivered. 

"Let me see your hands"

 I'd had forgotten about them through all the setting up and hiding. He turned them over they were a black and red mixture of dirt and dry blood. He shook his head tutting. I rolled my eyes back at him. From his backpack her removed a little bag which included plasters, wet wipes and bandages everything you could of needed was in this little bag, he had his own hospital in that bag.

 " You came prepared" I laughed as he started to softly and gently rub the mess of my hands. 

He looked at me and chuckled " Yeah knew you'd need it, all done" Thanks.

We went to sleep pretty early to wake up earlier the next morning. It was pretty cold and I found myself cushioning up close to Ethan to warm up. I slowly fell to sleep.
