Ryder's P.O.V----


She looks so peaceful right now... I came early purposely to watch her sleep. Jeez that sounded like totally creepy. Anyway she's the most innocent and beautiful creature I've ever laid my eyes on.
Her deep breaths echoing in my ears and out of nowhere I got an idea. I bought a glass of cold water and splashed it on her face. I knew she was awake and was pretending right now. She jolted awake by my sudden actions and was stunned by it. The look on her face was priceless. And then it changed to one of fury as she glared shooting daggers at me.
Although she was fast she wasn't fast enough. Being a nemphilim had its cons. Yea I know what she is though she doesn't have the slightest idea what she was and soon will be. She's the queen to the throne. A rightful dualord. I've to protect her. Keep her safe for him. The thought pained me and I couldn't figure out why.
I pinned her down straddling her. Her skin is pure silk. Her hair has slight auburn streaks in them that shine in sunlight. Her eyes are to die for. Her lips... I've wanted to kiss her ever since I laid my eyes on those lips.
I shook the thoughts away and realized our positions. I'm on top of her. Shit. I put my facade on and got up helping her on her legs as well. "get ready and come down Ana, your mom made bacon and eggs for breakfast and I don't wanna be late for my college just because my neighbor slash best friend takes too long to get ready", I try to say confidently but end up murmuring. As I was about to exit her room I turned and said it before I could stop it," I'm glad I can make you so wet this early in the morning"
I turned and mentally slapped myself for saying that. What you do to me ariana .... You'll be the death of me. Its wrong to think of her this way but I am unable to control it. From the day I set my eyes on her I've this urge to constantly be with her. Protect her. And that's what I'm sent to do here.....

Flashback::---

Damn I'm so tired. Brawling without consuming energy for days is exhausting. But I need to exercise control over my needs to consume life energy. My thoughts are interrupted by the knocking on the door. "Come in" and in came Eleanor black stoneshier, the sorry excuse of a mother or to be exact my stepmother. She smiled in a sickly sweet way to me which I'm sure is a fake smile. "Oh Ryder my dear dear son I am so glad you agreed to go to the human world to protect your brother's mate. She needs protection as you know she has many enemies due to the prophecy. Your brother has to watch over the kingdom here." I snorted. He's just a sex crazed demon no king I thought wryly to myself. "Mom I'm doing all this for the dualord tower and stability of this universe. Not for you or the person you call my brother",I spat. Eleanor told me about the prophecy about the nemphilim (half angel half human) child. I have to find her and protect her as she's destined to be with my brother and rule dualord tower. To be honest I hate the person who made this prophecy but Regina's prophecies are very powerful. I don't doubt her.
" OK my dear Ryder so be it. But I'm happy that you'll take care of your brother's mate." ,saying this she turned on her heels and left. My 12 year old self sighed.

End of flashback:::-

I snapped out of it and started eating the bacon Mrs everdeen served me. I saw her coming downstairs. She's so beautiful. I winked at her but she just shrugged. All the other girl's at school throw themselves at me but her, she's different... That makes her special. She isn't charmed just by mere looks. She's capable of seeing beyond it.
I watched as Mrs everdeen scolded her and her sarcastic apology came to me. I use her full name to annoy her. She suggested we finish the breakfast and leave and I nodded.
I got up and followed behind the sassy girl who is clueless as to who she really is... A nemphilim.. A half magical creature so rare that maybe she's one of her kind left... Powerful beyond imagination... Our future queen... My queen... My Ariana... The girl I like but could never have....
