Chapter 9

Heyo guys! Look! A new chapter! I'm so glad I was able to get a new chapter up so fast! Yay! Anyway, again I don't know how soon I will be able to get this next chapter up, but my winter break is coming up so I will be able to put a few more chapters up . . . . hopefully! Speaking of chapters, I know the story is a little slow . . . . but bare with me! It's getting to some good stuff soon! So hang in there! And last but not least, I would like to dedicate this chapter to mustachenarwhalz! She is an amazing author, to be honest I've only read one of her stories, but you know what, it was really good! And she's a hardcore shipper, like me! Just so you know when I see one of my ships get together or there's a moment with them. . . . . I stop breathing and literally bounce up and down in my seat! That's how much of a shipper I am! (That should be a hint to all of you that the ships in this story are going to be extremely hot!) But there is not going to be any sexual content! I know, darn! Maybe if I'm in a good mood I slip some juicy stuff in there. Hmm, so much power! *Insert evil laugh!* So cross your fingers! Maybe! So mustachenarwhalz, you rock! Keep writing! POV: Erza

We were at the boundary of the woods. It seemed like a peaceful looking place. At least from the outside it looked like that. The group knew better than that.

"We all ready?" I asked.

"Aye!" Everyone said with excitement. And off we went into the enchanted forest.

POV: Lucy

We have been hiking for about three hours. We we're all a bit tired. At least we were a little bit slower then when we left.

"Let's rest here for a bit!" Erza said. We all sighed in relief as we took our seats on either a log, rock, or even the grass. I sat on a rock and looked at our surroundings and saw that the trees were starting to thin out. I looked to my left and saw that Erza was talking to Gray, Gajeel, and Levy.

'Where's Natsu?'

"Hey Lucy!" I look to my right and Happy was fly over to me.

"Hey Happy, what's up?" I ask him as he sat down next to me.

"Oh nothing." He said with a smile. "Just wanted to see if you were feeling better."

"I am. Thanks for checking up on me!" I said petting the top of his head. "Hey Happy, where's Natsu? I don't see him anywhere."

"He said that he wanted to be alone for a moment." Happy said looking out in front of him. I followed his gaze to see Natsu quite a bit away from us, sitting on a log.

"Do you know why?" I asked not taking my eyes away from Natsu.

"No all he said was that he wanted to have some space." Happy said shaking his head.

"Hmmm. I'll be right back." I said standing and started making my way towards Natsu.

"Lucy, Natsu said he wanted to be-" Happy started to say but I cut him off.

"I know. I know. I just want make sure he's okay." I said looking over my shoulder at him. He looked sad at first but then it turned into a light smile. He nodded in agreement with me. I then kept walking towards Natsu.

POV: Happy

'She liiiiikes him!'

POV: Lucy

When I reached Natsu I didn't say anything, all I did was walk over to him and sat down next to him. A few moments passed in silence as he stared down at his feet, with his hair covering his eyes.

"I'm sorry." Natsu whispered, just barely loud enough for me to hear what he said.

"About what?" I ask him. Natsu still didn't move.

"About hurting you." He said in a sad tone.

"Really." I said in a annoyed tone, Natsu looked at me with surprise. "You're still blaming yourself because of my clumsiness?"

"Well . . . yeah." Natsu said, like it was obvious.

"Why? I'm the one that tripped and fell in the street. And I'm the one that pulled you over the couch with me. Well that might have slightly been Gray's fault. But none of that was your fault." I pointed out to him.

"But I still feel like it was my fault! I mean this isn't the first time I've gotten you hurt!" He said looking down again, but not enough to hide his eyes.

"Yeah you're right. This isn't the first time I've gotten hurt, while following you." I said. Natsu's eyes widened in sadness and his fists clenched in anger. I reached out and grabbed his face and turned it towards me. His strong muscular face seemed to fit perfectly in my little hands. "And that was most definitely not the first time you've saved my ass! And every single time I've gotten hurt, was me participating in the fun. Cause it's not fun unless you go down fighting!"

"Lucy." Natsu looked at me with surprise on his face. He then smiled and grabbed me in a big bear hug. "Thank you! I feel much better!" He said into my neck. I smiled and hugged him back.

"You're welcome, Natsu." I say as I wrap my arms around his neck.

"Hey Love Birds! Can we get going?" Gajeel yelled at us from where we left them.

"We're not Love Birds!" Me and Natsu yelled in union back to Gajeel.

"Yeah. Yeah. Can we just go?" Gray yelled.

"Fine! We're coming!" Natsu yelled standing up. He then turned to me and put his hand out to help me up. I smiled and took it gladly. We started to walked back to the group. I reached out and grabbed Natsu's arm and stopped walking. Natsu stopped walking as well and I put my head down so that my bangs were covering my eyes. "Something wrong, Luce?"

"Natsu." I took a deep breath. "Can you do me a favor."

"What is it?" Natsu asked facing me.

"Will you promise me that you'll never change?" I asked him. "That you'll always be the one to smile instead of frown? Laugh instead of cry? Be happy instead of sad? And always be the one that's different from the rest?" There was a quite a few moments of silence.

"Lucy." Natsu said, pulling away from my grip. I closed my eyes thinking he was walking away from me. Then warm muscular arms wrapped around my body and pulled me close. I look up to see Natsu smiling. "I promise." He said. I returned the smile and hug. We then pulled back and Natsu started running away from me. "Come on I'll race ya'!" I smiled as I cased after him. Laughing until we got back to the group. Then Natsu kept laughing and touched my arm. "You're it, Luce!" I then ran behind Levy and tagged her on the back.

"You're turn Levy!" I yell. She smiles and chases after Gajeel, who tagged Natsu who tagged Erza.

"All of you are so childish!" Erza yelled as she walked away. We all sighed in disappointment. Erza turned just enough and smirked. I watched her curiously. She slowly reached over and tapped Juvia on the back.

"Yay!" Juvia called and tackled Gray. "Juvia tags her precious Gray!" She yelled while squeezing Gray around the neck. We all started laughing as we watched Juvia try to kill Gray.

'Today is going to be a good day!'
