Chapter 38

Sup my biches! Unless you don't want to be my bitch . . . then fuck you! Just kidding I love you guys! So I'm going to give you guys a spoiler for this chapter, so there's a sweet Nalu scene. Its really cheesy! But I just love cheese so much, so you can take your complaints and above them up your . . . . ! Sorry I started turning a little mad there. POV: Natsu

I walked over to the bed and sat down in the chair, grabbing a hold of her right hand and ran my thumb over Lucy's Fairy Tail guild mark. The darkness had spread everywhere all over her body. Up her neck, up her face, and down her arms and legs. The darkness on her right hand was going around her guild mark.

"I'm sorry. I should have been there more for you. Maybe if I had been stronger I could have kept you safe. This is all my fault." I said still unable to cry.

Flash Backs:

"Natsu I've told you many times that I'm not going to sit in the sidelines just because I have a few scrapes! It's much more fun if we're all together!"

"Yeah you're right. This isn't the first time I've gotten hurt, while following you." Lucy said. She grabbed my face and turned it to face her. "And that was most definitely not the first time you've saved my ass! And every single time I've gotten hurt, was me participating in the fun. Cause it's not fun unless you go down fighting!"

"Is that what you're doing?" I asked Lucy. "Participating in the fun? Cause if it is, please stop. This isn't fun any more."

'You can't leave me!'

I squeezed her hand and brought it up to my face, and I lightly breathed in her sent.

"I'm going to miss you so much." I said. I kissed the back of her hand right over her guild mark. And her hand squeezed mine back. I looked at Lucy's face to see she hadn't moved, but her hand still held mine a little tighter.

'Lucy? Are you still fighting?'

I waited a few moments to see if I got a response. Any kind of response. But I didn't.

'You got to keep fighting. I know you can do it.'

I look over Lucy's face taking in her features that I will never forget. Her hair. Her eyes, that I want to see so badly again. Her cute little button nose. And . . . her lips. Oh god I want to kiss her lips so bad. I started to lean in a little bit. But when I was just inches away I stopped.

Flash Back:

"I don't want to kiss you here in our dreams. I want to kiss you for real!"

I pulled back.

'You probably want to be awake as well. Huh?'

After a little while of staring at Lucy, I looked out the window to see it was almost sundown. I squeezed Lucy's hand a bit more as I looked over her body. The darkness was everywhere. Then there was a knock on the door.

"Natsu?" It was Kiara. She opened the door and looked like she had been crying for a while. "Its almost time."

"I know." I said.

"I don't mean to rush you if you aren't done, but I just want to let you know." She said as she started to close the door.

"Kiara?" I said getting her attention. She opened the door back open a bit. "Who's going to do it?"

"Who's going to do what?" She asked.

"Who's going to . . . . you know." I said not wanting to say the word.

"I offered to, knowing that Erza or anybody else in the guild couldn't do it." She said. "I really want to back out and not do it, but then we would also have a dissaster on our hands."

"You want to back out?" I asked her.

"Well yeah!" She almost yelled at me. "I know you probably hate me because I took Lucy away from you, and now she's going to be taken away for good. But you have to remember, that was the darkness that made me do what I did. And I'm sorry. And if you don't forgive me, I understand."

'She thinks I hate her because of that? I don't hate her at all.'

"Well that's good to know." Kiara said. I looked at her confused.

"What?" I asked.

"Did you forget that I can read your mind if I wanted to?" She said. I looked away.

"Yeah." I said honestly. She giggled at me and started to close the door again. She stopped a moment and then opened it again.

"Natsu. If there's something you want to say or do, say it or do it. Cause you'll never get a chance again to do it." Kiara said and gave me a little smile. I looked at her in surprise a bit. "I'll give you a few more minutes." And she closed the door. I turned my attention back to Lucy.

'Does she know? '

I shook my head to clear it and focused back on Lucy. I looked her over again and the darkness was almost fully covering her body. Not much longer till it would be everywhere.

'Maybe Kiara's right. Maybe I should do it. But then I would feel bad for doing it. But then again if I don't do it, I'll regret it.'

I took a deep breath.

'It looks like I don't win either way.'

I looked out the window to see the sun was almost gone. That it was just a small bit of orange left. I bit my lip trying to decide what to do. And when I finally decided, I took a deep breath.

'Luce, I'm sorry if you don't want me to do this with you asleep. But I'm going to do it anyway. I know, I'm a selfish bastard.'

I leaned in to where I was only a slight lean to kissing Lucy.

"Come back to me." I whispered as I lightly put my lips on hers. And at that moment, I could have swore I felt a slight spark of electricity. But then as I pulled back, I noticed something. The darkness . . . . had stopped moving, and was now traveling back down her neck, and back up her arms and legs. It was going back to the center of her chest.

'What the hell is going on?'

Once all of the darkness was back to the center of her chest it shot out black ribbons, right as someone opened the door. It was Kiara, she swung the door open and got out of the way as the robins shot at the door and into the guild hall.

"What the hell!" I yelled. I heard people screaming as well while they freaked out. I ran to the door to see that the black ribbons were circling around the room and was spiraling upwards and once it was near the center of the ceiling it exploded and disapeared.

'What the hell just happened?'

And at that moment, that's when I heard it.

"Nat . . . . . su?"
