"I love it at the zoo, but I really miss my family." He continued. I slowly look up and stare at him, and take in the words he just said.
I feel cornered suddenly. I stare at the sky, my eyes dull. How long have I been at this zoo? I have completely forgotten about my family, my poor dog Daisy. I may be an only child, but I still miss my mom and dad. So many memories.
Justin stares at me, head cocked. "What is it?"
I look at him, his innocent face revealing nothing. "Nothing." I say, shaking my head.
It's nothing. I keep repeating to myself, but I feel sick. My heart keeps sinking deeper and deeper into my chest.
"It's nothing.' I repeat outloud, unaware of my surroundings. I try to convince myself, but I don't suceed.
