Confessions

Tears stricken on her face, Lucy ran with all her might. She had been running for about an hour already. She didn't know where she was headed to, but wherever it was, she hoped that it would be far, far away from the Fairy Tail guild. Well, far away from Natsu, anyway.

             Natsu.... she thought as she stopped at a nearby fountain to take a break, Why would he just randomly call me weak all of a sudden? Her mind quickly thought back to the party the guild had had, the last day Natsu had ever approached her willingly. She had tried to remember what had happened after she drank a few beverages from the alcoholic table, but her memory had been cut off from the moment she had drunken alcohol. All she could remember was that she probably had passed out after the party and had woken up in her bed the next day.

                 She quickly wiped her tears as she walked around the town she was in. It was a wonderful town, full of liveliness. Although, it wasn't as big as Mongolia. As she looked around, she finally saw a sign that told her the name of the city, Arcada City, that is.

         Natsu must be really jealous of me right now, she thought, giggling to herself, as she recalled Natsu begging Wendy to cast a spell on him to make him tolerable of any type of transportation, just so he could get to the very town Lucy was in, mainly because it had one of the tastiest meat in all of Fiore.

                  All of a sudden, as Lucy slowly regained consciousness from her daydream, she heard a voice, too far away for her to hear, but as the owner of the voice grew closer, his voice grew louder, finally making out the words she could hear, "Lucy!!" But Lucy, of course, having just gained consciousness from her daydream, only heard the voice as a silent whisper, until the pink-haired owner of the voice finally came up to her.

                    "Oi!" Natsu shouted, as he put his arm on Lucy trying to gain balance,"Luce! I *huff* finally *huff* found you!" Lucy jumped, "N-natsu! Where'd you even come from?" "I came straight from the guild, of course!" he said, flashing his smile at her.

                     "Why'd you come here anyways?" he asked, as he looked around and took a huge inhale from his nose, taking in the delicious smell of all the food in town.

           "Why do you care?" Lucy said, recovering from her shock, "maybe I'm here to train so I'm not weak, or maybe I'm here to join a different guild!"

                 "Ok, one, there are no good training spots around here, and two, the closest guild around here besides Fairy Tail is 5,000 miles away," Natsu pointed out.

             "When did you get so smart?" Lucy asked, as she flicked Natsu's hand away from her, "Ugh, whatever. I'm not going back to the guild,"

                    "Look, I'm sorry for calling you weak. It's just that I've been nervous around you for some reason." Natsu said, as he scratched the back of his neck.

             "What reason?" Lucy asked, wondering if it had something to do with the party the guild had a week ago.

                       Natsu blushed, "Y-you kinda uh...."

           "What?" Lucy asked, staring at Natsu's face, "Your face looks like a tomato!"

            "It's all your fault! This whole incident happened because you told me you l-liked me at the party!"  Natsu exclaimed.

                      Now it was Lucy's turn to blush,"W-what?! But I don't remember that!"

           "You passed out before I could even respond!" Natsu said, "Besides, you were dead drunk"

                     "O-oh...." Lucy muttered, as she silently swore to herself to never drink alcoholic drinks again.

            "But that's not even the worse part!" Natsu shouted,"Now, every time I look at or even go near you, my heart races like crazy! You must've given me a disease!"

                     Lucy giggled her bubbly laugh,"Geez, so that's what it was,"

            "Why're you so calm?!?" Natsu shouted, "I might be dying from a disease here!"

           "That's not a disease, you idiot," she said, sighing, "That just means you're in love with someone!" "Who might just be me.." she muttered, hoping Natsu couldn't hear her.

           Fortunately for Natsu, he did, thanks to his super hearing. So I'm in love with Luce? he thought, thinking about the symptoms again, I guess that kinda makes sense. He had never thought about it before. Him liking Lucy, that is, but now that he thought about it, he thought that Lucy was actually speaking the truth. He probably really liked Lucy more than he thought he did.

              "Yeah, I guess you're right...." Natsu said, breaking his train or thought, "maybe I really do love you Luce,"

             "Eh?" Lucy said, as she tried to calm her heart down, "Y-you actually heard me?"

             "Super hearing skills, remember?" Natsu said, as he pointed at his ears. Damn, I forgot about that, Lucy thought.

                  "So um.... is this the part where I gotta say 'Will you marry me' or....." Natsu asked as he started blushing again.

            "I guess we'll save that for the future!" Lucy said, laughing at how dense Natsu was when it came to love, or anything, really.

                   "Wait, so you forgive me for ignoring you and calling you weak, right?" Natsu asked, hoping for Lucy to forgive him.

           "Hehe, nah, I still haven't forgiven you for that!" laughed Lucy. "Maybe I'll have you buy me some new clothes, a car, pay for my rent, and books!" As she said this, she quickly started running in the direction of the guild.

            "But Lucyyyy! I don't have that kind of money!" he shouted, as, he quickly ran to catch up with Lucy, but since he was still so exhausted from running earlier, he failed in catching up with her.

              "Race ya to the guild!" Lucy yelled, gaining speed. "No fair!" whined Natsu, as Lucy slowly disappeared into the sunset, with Natsu trailing behind her.
