You really really REALLY should try Mistborn. I mean it.
Mistborn is a trilogy written by Brandon Sanderson.
The three books in the trilogy are:
Mistborn: The Final Empire
Mistborn: The Well of Ascension
Mistborn: The Heroes of Ages
There is one more - Mistborn: The Alloy of Law. It's a stand-alone novel which is sequel to the Mistborn trilogy. Its setting is approximately 300 years after the conclusion of Mistborn.
Reasons to read MISTBORN:
It's quite different from the fantasies you read. You see no vampires, werewolves or warlocks in this fascinating trilogy. What you'll see is a brand new world. All the heroes and monsters are new. You can't find them in any others stories (apart from fan-fictions I suppose).
Do NOT be put off just because the books are thick. DON'T. Thick books are awesome for most of the time.
The three books in the trilogy are pretty thick (at least they are in the Chinese versions), but the stand-alone one is super thin.
I don't know if there's a fandom for Mistborn, though. If you find one please tell me!
I mean, a know it's popular among Taiwan people who love reading books that are translated from English to Chinese. But I discovered that not many people outside Taiwan know Mistborn. And even if they do, they're not a very big fan. It's a shame, let me tell you. It's a shame.
So, that's all. Don't even hesitate. Just go read them all, NOW. Run to nearest book store or library or whatever. Get the books. And read them all.
