Peaceful. Beautiful. Warm. Perfect. At least, it was.

Blood. Claws. Yowls. Death. I am fighting hard. Breathing hard, painfully wishing this was over. The last one. I am the last one standing. The rest dead. Pools of blood. Tufts of fur everywhere. Just me and the silent world around me. And the fading yowls of the lifeless clan mates, lying in masses of think dark blood. A cat comes from the brush. Bright orange. His pelt almost non visible in the daylight now stained with blood. Or maybe it's because blood is running into my eyes from a cut across my left eye.

I wake up yowling. My heart is pounding so hard it hurts. I gasp for air, but none comes. "Sapphireeyes!" A muffled whisper in the distance. So very distant. I can't breath. I am dying. I am dying. The last thing I see is Sandytail's worried look.

I wake up in Mudpelt's den. The breeze leaking through the thicket. I feel so dizzy. My head is foggy. I can barely move. I try to sit up. Oh no, here comes the pain. But, it never shows. I slowly rise to my paws, looking around. Something pushes me down. It was Mudpelt. "Gah! Ow!" I screech, sprawled on the ground. "Lay down. You need to rest for a while. You kinda panicked earlier so that is why you're here, if you were concerned." Mudpelt says. She trots over to her herb pile and begins sorting again.

Halfway into sleep, someone prods at my shoulder, hard. I spring up, every muscle refusing. I look up and see Darkgaze. "Gah! Why did you do that, Darkgaze?!" I growl. She laughs. "Don't be silly, Sapphireeyes. I was only trying to snap you out of your faze." I lick my shoulder. "Well, you could have said so before. Maybe that would have helped." I start to remember something. "Wait, hold on. I thought you." I turn my head and the familiar she cat is gone, faded into a cloud of drizzle.

I wake up with the moon light shining brightly through the trees.  Everything is silent, like the whole world has stopped except for me. I listen to the soft breaths of the warriors around me. Breathing in the scent of Sandytail snoozing by my head. I made a great decision coming to this clan. I don't know what I would've done if I didn't.  I caress Sandytail's soft pelt with my tail. He mumbles and opens up his big, soft brown eyes.
"Oh hey, Sapphireeyes." He meows groggily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Hey, I didn't mean to wake you, Sandytail." I meow softly. He blinks a few times. "No, it's OK. I was just about to wake up from a dream I was having anyways." He gives me a warm smile to signify it's really ok.

Something shining brightly over Sandytail's shoulder catches my eye. Sandytail notices my look and follows my gaze. "What is it?" He asks. I rise to my paws, curiously walking towards to bright light that is nearly blinding. As soon as I am practically breathing on it, the light that looked so beautiful fades, leaving only the darkness of the night to follow in its steps.

I feel a brush of a tail as Sandytail walks up next to me. "What was it? What did you see?" He asks worriedly. I don't answer him for a few heartbeats. I shake my head and turn away from the once beautiful glowing light. "I don't know." I finally manage to answer. Sandytail scoffs. "So that's it? You mysteriously blank out on me, and now you don't know why? What's the matter with you lately, Sapphireeyes?" Sandytail says, stopping me in my tracks. He hard eyes are burning into me. I look away before I can be sucked into the portal of truth. "I can't explain it. I just feel different, like something is going to happen. Something..." I trail off. The dreams come flooding back to me, sending a shudder down my spine. Something bad is going to happen, and somehow I am the one who needs to stop it. Somehow.
