Chapter 3- Hello Tennessee

~Erika's POV~ 

I woke up from the sound of my dads voice.. He was on the phone.. "Oh thank you so much Cathy! We'll be there soon, love you" I looked over the railing to see what he was doing and he was putting clothes into a giant suitcase. Today?! We're leaving today?! I ran down the stairs "What are you doing?" I said as I got to the first box closest to me. "We're packing. I just called your aunt and she said we're welcome to stay there. Plus I called the airport and they gave me a huge deal. We can go all the way there for just $250!" He smiled. "Why are you smiling about this?! How am I gonna even fit all my clothes in my suitcases?!" I only have 2 suitcases and they aren't the biggest. They're pretty small. "Well, You're gonna have to bring your favorite pieces of clothing then. You're not bringing it all, Cathy doesn't have a 5 foot closet." My father started to zip the first suitcase shut. "You're just gonna have to deal with it." He said as he started to open another suitcase.

I ran upstairs and woke my friends up. "MELLLLYYYY!! GRACEEEYY!!!" I screamed while throwing pillows at them. "I have some news..." I said looking down. "Is it that big you gotta murder us with pillows?" Mel said scratching her head."Yes. I'm leaving today..!" I just felt like crying.  

Grace ran up and hugged me "I'm gonna miss you so much." Mel joined in on the hug and we just  stood there hugging. "When are you going?" Mel asked sniffing. "Once i'm done packing.." I answered wiping my tears off my face. "We can still keep in touch though..Right?" Grace asked. "I'll try. I'm not 100% sure if the farm my aunt is on has signal." I grabbed my Hello Kitty suitcase out of my closet and set it on the bed. "Well. You guys can help me pick out my clothes for the trip. I can't keep all of it unfortunately." I said with a half smile. 

~At airport~

"Well. I guess this is it.." I felt a tear slide down my cheek. "I'm gonna miss you Erika. We'll try to come and visit some time maybe.." Mel said faking a smile. 

I heard the speaker siren make a loud noise "Flight to Tennessee is ready to take flight in 30 minutes."  

Grace and Mel gave me a 5 minute long hug. "I love you guys.. Don't miss me too much, okay?" I said releasing the hug. "That's gonna be really hard.. I can't hang out with this loser all the time." Grace joked pointing to Mel. "Haha..Grace, i'm gonna miss you so much. You put a smile on my face all the time. If I didn't have you who would take care of Mel and her crazy self?" I laughed. She started to tear up and hugged me again. "Don't worry. You'll see me again at your wedding with Danie" I winked. She smiled a little and let me go. "Mel you are the craziest friend i've ever had. Without you i'd be bored to death. You are always wanting to tr y new things and you're brave enough to do it. I look up to you sometimes. I love you and i'm gonna miss you so much.." Mel started tearing up as well. 

"Come on honey, the plane is gonna leave soon.." My dad said as he lifted up some of the suitcases. We started walking towards the airport building when Mel started running towards me and clinged on my leg "DON'T GO ERIKAAAAA!"  Mel shouted. The whole airport started looking at us. She is absolutely my craziest  friend. "I'll come visit, I promise."  I said as I pushed her off my leg. She got up and walked back to where Grace was. I saw them both drive away in a Taxi and waved goodbye as they past.

~On airplane~ 

"Dad? How long is the plane ride?" I asked looking out the plane window. "About 2 hours." My dad answered. I  put in my ear buds and listened to 'I'm only me when i'm with you' By Taylor Swift and rested my head on the plane window. Before I knew it I fell asleep...

~2 hours later~

"Erika..Wake up sweetie. We're here.." My dad said shaking my shoulder. Ugh. Great.
