~Erika's POV~
I ran towards my dad who was on the couch reading he Daily Newspaper.
"Hey dad, can Melissa and Grace sleep over tonight?" I said sweetly hoping he'll let me.
He groaned "Tonight? Really Erika?" "Pleaseeeee?" I said as I stuck my bottom lip out. If this doesn't work nothing will. "Aren't you a little old to be doing that face? It isn't as cute as it was when you were 5 you know. You're an adult now." He said continuing to read his newspaper. "Actually. Technically i'm not an adult. I'm 17, adults are 18 and over....Duh." I said sitting next to him on the couch. "You're also too old to be saying 'duh' too." He said smirking. "Ha ha, Okay. Well you never answered my question..Can they?" I bated my eye lashes this time. "Alright, but no staying up all night."
"Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm gonna go get ready. Love you!" I squealed and kissed his cheek as I ran up the stairs to my room.
I texted my two best friends and got dressed. (Erika's outfit is on the multmedia)
I heard a knock on the door. Wow they got here fast...I ran to the door and shouted as I opened the door "We're gonna have so much fun tonight-" I turned red when I saw a very tall man in a suit giving me a confused look. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry I thought you were my friends..." I probably looked like a tomato from how red my face was.
"Is your father home? I need to talk to him." The large man said. "Uhm.." I looked to my right where the living room was and back at him "What for? And no, he isn't home at this moment." This guy was about 2 feet taller than me and wearing sunglasses at 11:30 at night. No way i'm gonna let him in my house. "Oh really? You watch Dr. Phil?" He raised an eyebrow. I'm guessing he heard the TV on..*FACE PALM*
"Erika! Who's at the door?" My father walked over next to me "Oh hey boss, come on in" Boss? Wow, I feel like a complete idiot. I followed them into the living room and sat next to my dad. They both looked at me all serious for awhile. "What?.....Oh, you want to be alone. Okay.." I left and walked upstairs to my room. My god..I truly believe i'm an idiot now."
~Erika's dad's POV~
I got up and started walking to the kitchen "So what brings you here Ed? Would you like some thing to drink? We have water, coffee, orange juice, grape juice, apple juice, "
"Tom. Shut up already..I didn't come here to hear you list all the juices in your fridge. I came here to tell you something.." He got up from the couch and stood in front of me. "Well what is it boss?" I asked looking kind of worried. "Well. Lets just say you can't call me boss anymore..I'm sorry Tom." Ed grabbed his brief case and made his way towards the front door. This cant be happening. How am I gonna tell Erika this? And find a new job? Especially when everyone else is trying to get one. How am I gonna afford to stay in this house? Ugh. Why does everything have to happen so fast? And why did I keep naming all the juices in my fridge?! *FACE PALM* My god..I truly believe i'm an idiot.
~Erika's POV~
I walked down stairs once I heard the front door close. I see my dads face in his hands on the couch."Dad? Are you okay?" I sat down next to him and patted his back "No..I'm not okay.." He lifted his head and faced me "I lost my job sweetie. I don't know if we can live here anymore.. We were already struggling before when I had the job..I think we'll have to live with your aunt Cathy for a while down in Tennessee.." "WHAT! I CANT BELIEVE YOU'RE DOING THIS TO ME!"
I ran to my room and slammed my door shut. How can he be so inconsiderate?! There is no way in hell i'm going to live where cows shitt. I'd rather be on the streets.. Okay ew, never mind. I wouldn't want my one or a kind Christian Louboutin shoes to get dirt on them. I would just die. OH! I can just die so I don't have to go. Oh..Probably not the best idea i've had. If you think i'm being overly dramatic shut up. Just shut up. Where my aunt lives in Tennessee there are tractors, barley any air conditioning, no malls unless you want to drive 50 miles and worse of all..SHE LIVES ON A FARM. A fucking farm.
*DING DONG*
My friends are here! WOO! I ran to the door and pulled them in. "UPSTAIRS. NOW." I pulled them both upstairs and locked my door. They looked at me like i'm a psycho killer. "I'M MOVING TO TENNESSEE! MY LIFE IS RUINED! LESS MALLS, MORE TRACTORS. LESS TV, MORE PLANTS." I layed on my bed using a pillow to cover my face. "I think you're over reacting a little..It wont be THAT bad." Melissa said. "When are you leaving?" Grace asked while frowning. "I don't know..I didn't ask and i'm not over reacting. I'm just..-" I replied. "Over reacting" Melissa interrupted. "Ugh. Shut up Melissa." I said as I threw a pillow at her. "Well, we better spend as much time together as possible then." Grace smiled. Grace was always the sweet one..Melissa gets on my nerves sometimes but I love her to pieces. "Our huge girls day starts tomorrow because i'm exhausted. Good night girls." I said as I shut off the light. "Night" Grace and Melissa said at the same time.
"JINX!" Melissa shouted. "Shut up Mellissa" Grace said as she threw a pillow at her.
