Chapter 5- Riding leason

~Hunter'sPOV~

I had the weirdest dream last night.. I was in the barn.. With Erika and I was teaching her how to ride a horse, She fell off the horse and landing on top of me and then we started kissing.. I actually really liked the dream..

What the hell am I saying? I can't be falling for Erika, can I? Well she's pretty, nice, fun to be around- SHUT UP CONSCIENCE.

Ignoring her isn't gonna help.. Already tried that.. Maybe I should try relationships again..- NO. I'll just lose another person close to me.. I'm thinking stuff way too fast..It's not like she actually likes me.

~Erika's POV~

I really miss New York and my friends but I'm actually starting to like it here.. Especially with meeting Hunter and all maybe living here on the farm isn't all that bad- WOAH Did I just say that?  No, no, no. The farm isn't meant for a girl like me.. I can barley ride a horse. At least I have Hunter to teach me how, He's so nice.. Did I just say that? What does it matter if I did or not anyway. It's not like he would actually like me like that. I'm just a city girl with no idea what a plow is.

I got out of bed in my Hello Kitty pajamas and headed down stairs. I grabbed the bag of bagels out of the fridge and popped two in the toaster. "Morning sunshine" My dad said kissing the top of my head. "Morning" I groaned. After breakfast I ran upstairs and went to the window. I can see Hunter in his room. "Hunter!" I yelled trying to get his attention. He didn't hear me. I looked around my room to find something to throw at his window to catch his attention. Not something to break it of course... I searched my room and found a empty water bottle. I threw it and Hunter jumped out of his seat. He relaxed when he saw it was me and came to the window. "Hey, what's up?" He asked smiling. God I love his smile. "Oh, just bored. Maybe you can teach me how to ride a horse today" I said smiling back. He stop smiling and had a blank stare, "Are you alright?" I asked. "Oh, sorry I uh..Can't today..Later?" He looked kind of nervous. "How about tonight?" I said hoping he'll agree. "Uh..Alright.." He closed his window and his curtain. Okay. That was weird. As I went to go get dressed the toy monkey that I got from a drive through went off.

~Hunter's POV~

What if the dream that I had last night really does come true? Even if it's about to no way i'm gonna let it happen..No matter how much I want to no way I can. 

I went outside and started doing some yard work. Ever since that accident Erika had with her horse I had to work extra. Well maybe it is partly my fault since I refused to teach her how to ride it..What am I saying? It's her fault for riding it without knowing how. Well. Probably more my fault. Ugh. I'm confusing my self Or myself is confusing. Okay now i'm really confused.

(Hours later) 

I walk over to Erika's house and knock on the door. Her aunt answers. "Oh hi, Mrs. Jones. How are you?" I said with a warming smile. "Oh i'm doing great sweetie, what brings you here?" She asked. "Is Erika home? I'm gonna teach her how to ride a horse" I replied. "Oh, she's just upstairs in her room. You can head on up there if you'd like" Mrs. Jones smiled and let me in.

I walked up the stairs and saw three doors. I'm guessing its the last door because has something pink under the door. I walk over and knock. "DAD GO AWAY! I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU!" She yelled sounding like she just been crying. "Uh Erika it's Hunter..Can I come in?" I ask with a worry voice. "Oh, sorry..thought you were my father" She said as she opened her door.

I sat down next to her on her bed. "Is everything alright with your dad?" I ask. "What do you mean? Yeah of course i'm fine. Why wouldn't I be" She said faking a smile. "Because you yelled at me thinking I was your father and your eyes are red.. And by the way you're a terrible fake smiler" I said looking at her.

"Alright, well. I was on the farm helping to pick up weeds and my dad was on the Tractor and he looked exhausted so he walked inside for a nap. I thought it'd be nice to finish the job for him so I got on the tractor and started it. Apparently it's not like a car..and I started it and I ran over some baskets of food and blew out the motor.." She said looking down.

"Then my dad found out and got really pissed at me because now we have to do things by hand now" She continued. "Well..I can always fix it and just say you fixed it" I said still looking at her.

"You would really do that for me?" She asked looking up at me smiling. "Yeah, why not..That's what friends are for right?" I said smiling back at her. She was still looking at me. I wanted to look away but I couldn't.. That's when both of us started to lean in until this small toy monkey on her shelf started to clap. She backed up and turned to the monkey to turn it off. "Uh. Lets go" She said as she sneaked out the door.

Before I walked out I check the time and it was 10:15. I  hope we don't get caught..

We walked outside and got to the barn full of horses. "Which one do you want to ride?" I asked her. She pointed to the one she rode the last time. "Are you sure?" I asked. "One hundred percent." She answered. I pulled the horse out of its stall and and strapped a saddle on it. "Here ya go. Jump on" She jumped up on it and looked kind of nervous. "What if I do what I did last time? Or I fall off and break something?" She said frowning. "Well you have me and if you fall i'll catch you" I smiled. She smiled back. "Okay ready?" I asked standing next to her. "Yup" She said holding the reign tightly. "Okay now just whip the reigns gently to start off slowly.. The harder the faster. She started to laugh a bit. "What's so- Oh. You pervert" I laughed. We started from me walking beside her to me running to catch up. I saw the smile on her face while she was riding, I couldn't help but smile too. "How do you know where you're going when it's so dark? I shouted as I was running beside her. "Actually I don't.." She said. And after that the horse squealed and made a sharp turn. She slide off the horse and landed ontop of me just like last time but this time it was night. "Told you i'd catch you"I said smirking at her. She giggled. Oh I loved her giggle. I know what I said earlier about not kissing her but fuck it. leaned and pressed my lips onto hers. She kissed me back and it was just perfect. I haven't  felt this happy in years..
