My mom is suppose to be gone for a week or two so hopefully while she is gone I won't have to see James or Robert, after I opened all of my presents I carried them upstairs to my room as soon as I got there I put everything on my bed then started sorting through them. I put everything where I wanted to put them and when the necklace and earrings were last I kept them in their little box and put them in the drawer of my nightstand. Aunt Grace and my dad were still talking when I got back downstairs and when I reentered the living room they looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back at them and took a seat on the couch again. "So, Melissa sweetheart what do you want to do while your mother is gone?" Aunt Grace asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm not really sure....I guess I didn't really plan anything." I admitted and both Aunt Grace and my dad laughed. "That's okay Mel we will think of something to do." I chuckled. "Okay." After a while of just sitting there and doing absolutely nothing we finally decided to watch a movie, a lot of the movies I have watched before, but I just sucked it up because we were bored and watching movies seemed like the better option instead of just sitting there. After the movie ended we put in another one and by the time lunch rolled around Aunt Grace entered the living room with my lunch. I smiled up at her. "Thank you Aunt Grace." "Your welcome." She said kissing my forehead, she made me a bowl of soup, a couple slices of bread with butter on them, some crackers and a glass of orange juice. I ate my lunch while watching the movie and by the time it ended I had finished eating and carried my dishes into the kitchen. "Oh here Melissa you go back into the living room with your father I'll take care of the dishes." "Are you sure Aunt Grace? I mean I can wash them no problem at all." She shook her head and smiled. "I insist Mel go on now." I hesitated, but nodded my head, kissed her cheek then went back into the living room. Dad had put another movie in when I entered the living room. I sat down and started watching that with him, Aunt Grace entered the living room not long after. By the time dinner rolled around I had fallen asleep on the couch and they decided not to wake me up. I woke up the next morning still on the couch, I yawned, stretched and got up off of the couch. When I entered the kitchen my Aunt Grace was setting food down on the table. "Good morning Melissa." Aunt Grace said smiling at me and I smiled back at her. "Good morning Aunt Grace." I said taking a seat at the table. "I made you something extra special for breakfast...I hope you like it." I looked down at the food on my plate and my smile grew even brighter. She had pancakes the shape of hearts and in them were chocolate chips she also made me a cup of fruit punch. "I love it Aunt Grace! thank you." She chuckled. "Your welcome sweetie...oh and you might want to hurry though me and your dad have something planned for us to do today." I giggled. "Okay." I wonder what it is that we're doing today. I finished eating then quickly rushed upstairs and changed then I ran back downstairs, as soon as I reached the front door both my dad and Aunt Grace were standing there waiting for me. "Ready?" She asked and I nodded my head. "Yes I'm ready." "Alright, come on." We walked out the front door and dad locked it then we started walking towards the woods I looked at them oddly, but shrugged my shoulders soon after. The further we went into the woods the more curious I became, Where are we going? What do they have planned for today? Why do I feel so strangly unsure about all of this? I quickly pushed all of those negative thoughts to the back of my head and just tried to focus on all of the beauty that was surrounding me. The woods is so beautiful for some reason today I just had to smile at everything for no reason at all. We kept walking for a while longer until they finally stopped and I ended up crashing into them. "You ready?" They asked and I nodded my head. "Yes." I said. They looked back at me and smiled then stepped out of the way and when I stepped forward to get a better look I gasped. Both in awe and excitement, and both in disgust and anger. I looked back at them with a hint of anger in my eyes. "Why?" I asked and I could tell that they both immediately regretted their decision. "His father is away on a business trip so we decided to do something with you and him today." My dad said and I lowered my voice. "You know how much I hate him...why would you bring him here? His father almost killed me last night...who knows if he's going to snap too." They both looked at each other and sighed then looked at me each with sympathetic looks on their faces. "I know that you don't like him Mel, but right now he needs people to be around until his father gets back and I think we should be that people." "There is no way in heck that I'm going to be around him when his father gets back and you know that." I hissed. "We would never force you to do something Mel we just think that we all should be with him and when his father does get back your Aunt and I will be the ones to be there when be does." I hesitated, but quickly gave in and sighed heavily. "Fine." They both smiled weakly. "Thank you Melissa." "But...he's not allowed to flirt with me or anything or I'm done." They nodded their heads. "He won't we talked about that with him and he won't do anything... He promised." I sighed and nodded my head. "Alright." I turned back around and my dad placed his hand on my shoulder and we approached him. We were spending the day with Robert...the Robert the one who's father tried to kill me last night, yup! It was going good...we played some baseball then for lunch we had a little picnic then went back to playing baseball and Robert never once tried to flirt with me it could have also been because of my dad and Aunt telling him not to, but I honestly think that he didn't want to...hmm..maybe the only reason why he flirts with me is because of his dad. Maybe his dad wants us to be together, umm...no! I mean I like the guy and all, but only when his father isn't around and there are actually other adults there watching us you know other adults besides his dad of course. "So, who is coming up to the base to take a last lucky swing of the batt today? Hmm?" Robert asked smiling and looking around the field at my dad, my Aunt and I, I smirked and skipped up to the base. "That would be me sir." I grinned and he laughed. "Alrighty then m'lady!" he said, I picked up the batt and got into a position getting ready to swing the batt, as soon as Robert threw the ball I swung the batt so hard that you could hear the wood crack from the impact of the ball making contact with the batt. And before we knew it the ball went far off into the distance, Robert gasped when he couldn't see the ball anymore. "Home run?" He asked in a squeaky high pitched voice, I burst out laughing, but quickly ran around the field to all of the bases to ensure him that I had a home run. "Yeah, yeah I think I would call that a home run." I said and nodded my head, both my dad and Aunt Grace burst out laughing and so did Robert and I, my dad took off in the direction that the baseball had been shot in and came back a few minutes later with the ball in his hands. "You shot that damn thing all the way to China." He said, I made a funny face at him. "Jìngwèi wǒ yě ài nǐ de bàba." I said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes at me and tossed the ball back over to Robert who was standing there looking at me oddly, I chuckled. It means Awe I love you too dad." He nodded his head slowly. "Oh." I chuckled then dad went up to the base, we played baseball until it started getting dark out then we decided to head back to the house. "Alright Mel, I think it's time you get dinner and head off to bed." My dad said and I sighed, but nodded my head. "Okay. Umm...bye Robert, uh...tomorrow?" I asked and he nodded his head. "Yeah absolutely! Uh...you know if that's what you want that is." He said and I nodded my head. "Tomorrow it is then." I said and he smiled slightly. "Okay, well umm...bye." "Bye." We walked back to the house in silence and when we got there Aunt Grace Immediately made something for me for dinner, potatoes, gravy, carrots, and hamburg as well as a glass of chocolate milk. "Thank you so much Aunt Grace." I said smiling up at her, she smiled back at me and kissed the top of my head. "Your welcome sweetheart." she said leaving the kitchen. I took a seat at the kitchen table and started eating, as soon as I was done I put my dirty dishes in the sink and walked into the living room where my Aunt Grace and my dad were sitting on the couch talking. "I'm going to head off to bed." I said quietly and they stopped talking, looked at me and smiled. "Alright Mel, good night." They said at the same time. "Good night." I said back then headed upstairs to my room, as soon as I got there I got into bed and fell asleep when my head hit the pillow.
