Vampires Versus Wolves

Chapter 10

"What?! their apart of the Alfa Vampire's guard?!" I yelled with widened eyes.
I just couldn't believe it they were working for the Alfa vampire's! Oh my god I think I'm going to pass out! No hold it together Mel you'll be just fine. Inhale...Exhale...Inhale...Exhale. "Jesus Mel calm down will you?!" She yelled grabbing my shoulders and shaking me a little.
"Well what are we going to do?" I cried and she shook her head.
"Nothing Mel...we're going to do absolutely nothing until mom and dad calls to let us know that they have left." She said.
"Teresa. They are vampires." She raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, and?" I sighed. "And...they're old, even older than mother and father which means their sense of smell, hearing, strength, speed, etc....Is stronger. Which will probably mean that before they even reach the house they'll know that we have been there recently." I said and she paused for a moment as she reconsidered what I had just said then she spoke.
"Really Mel?...you're so delirious, I mean honestly sis I've known about them since I was little. I feared them back then and I still fear them today." She crossed her arms over her chest and looked up at the ceiling. I hesitated, but cleared my throat.
"Have you ever seen pictures of them?" I asked, she quickly looked down at me and studied me carefully for a bit.
"No. No I haven't." She finally said.
"Then how can you fear someone if you've never met them before? Or for that matter never seen pictures of them?" She sighed and tucked a strand of hair back behind her ear.
"For the Alfa Vampires you don't have to meet them or see pictures of them to fear them. For the Alfa Vampires they leave a trail of destruction and fear in their wake no matter where they go, that's how you know that you should fear them." When I thought about them I didn't feel a chill go up my spine, I didn't feel fear towards them or anxiety, but instead I felt nothing towards them at all. Weird right?
"You should get some sleep." Teresa said which snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Huh?" I looked at her and she rolled her eyes.
"Get some sleep...It's been a long hard day, I'll stay up and keep look out." I hesitated, but nodded my head, laying down in bed and covering myself up I looked back at Teresa.
"Good night sister." I said and she quickly glanced at me.
"Good night Mel." She said then I slowly drifted off to sleep.

"Good morning Mel." I heard Teresa whisper.
"Good morning." I whispered back.
"You ready to get something quick for breakfast?" She asked. "I guess." A few seconds later I was pulled out of bed by my ankles and my head hit the floor with a thud.
"Teresa!" I whined and she laughed.
"Don't Teresa me Missy come on!" She said and I groaned, getting up off of the floor I made my way to the door.
"I don't want us hunting for too long, otherwise someone might be nearby and I don't want anyone else finding us out.
"She said and I nodded my head as we ran a little ways into the woods that was behind the small bunker that we were staying in. Teresa also made sure to tightly lock up the bunker before we left, she didn't want anyone breaking into it which didn't really make any sense seeings as she said so herself that she didn't want to hunt for to long, but oh we'll it's her words not mine.
The whole entire time that we were hunting I couldn't help but think about everything that was happening, but I mostly thought about Robert.
'Poor Robert, he has to deal with all of this by himself, he has to deal with my family and my grandparents....but mostly his father.' I managed to kill a deer, but that was it really I wasn't really hungry because I was so worried about Robert.
Once inside the bunker, I plopped down on my bed and just looked out the window, that's really all I could do, well that and think.
After a while of silence Teresa finally cleared her throat.
"So whatcha thinking about huh sis?" She asked and I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her.
"Huh? What?" Teresa rolled her eyes.
"I asked what were you thinking about?" She asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Nothing really." I said looking down at my hands, out of the corner of my eye I could see her raise an eyebrow at me.
"Really Melissa? Really? If you weren't thinking about anything important than you would have eaten more than what you ate this morning." She said and I bit my lip.
"I guess I just wasn't really hungry." I said looking back out the window.
"Melissa we both know that's bullshit! Your always hungry, especially when it comes to hunting. So tell me what's really going on!" She said and I sighed heavily.
"It's just......I can't stop thinking about....." I trailed off as I looked back down at my hands.
"Can't stop thinking about what Mel?" Teresa asked and I blushed and bit my lip.
"It's not a 'what' Teresa....it's a 'who'." I said as I looked her still blushing widely.
"Okay.......well who can't you stop thinking about?"
"His name is Robert, I'm so worried about him right now because he has to deal with everything and everyone back at the house, and I'm just so worried that he's not going to be able to handle it all." I said as a tear ran down my cheek.
"Wow! The great Melissa Morrows has a boyfriend! Who would have thought this day would come!" She blurt out and I rolled my eyes.
"Ha ha, very funny!" I chuckled.
"So...how long have you and this 'Robert' guy been going out for huh? Has it gotten 'serious' yet?" With her left and right index finger she quoted the word 'serious' and winked at me.
My face turned a bright tomato red when I realized what she meant.
"We've been dating for a year and a half now.....and what?! No! Absolutely not that serious! No way!" I blurt out and she burst out laughing.
"What?! Are you serious? You guys have been together for a year and a half and not once have you guys talked about 'doing it' seriously? What are you guys waiting until you get married or something?" She asked.
"It's not that Teresa it's just.....it's complicated." I said crossing my arms over my chest and looking down at the bed.
"Complicated? Really? What could possibly be more complicated then not having done 'the deed' hmm?" She chuckled and rolled her eyes, I really didn't want to tell her because as soon as she knew that I was actually dating a wolf instead of a vampire she would kill me, like literally kill me! And then she would kill our parents for pushing me to be with him, which is what they have been doing since Robert and I have been little, but still!
"Come on  tell me!" She pushed further until I finally sighed hard.
"Alright! Fine I'll tell you, okay?! Look......just Whatever I'm about to tell you Teresa it's not my fault okay? Cause after years and years of mother and father....'mostly mother' pushing me and pushing me and pushing me it finally got under my skin and I just gave up......but just whatever I tell you sis, it's not my fault okay?" I asked and her face instantly turned serious and she nodded her head.
"Mel don't worry okay? Because whatever mother and father pushed you to do.....I know that they were only doing it for their own selfish reasons." She said and I nodded my head.
"Okay.....for years and years mother and father kept on pushing me to get with Jame's son........and it finally got under my skin and I gave up trying to fight it. But you have to understand though Teresa every single time I fought it James would beat me and call me names and mom and dad would just stand there and not do a single thing to stop him and like I said I finally gave up trying to fight it because I was just so tired of being abused and everything else by James. I hope you understand where I'm coming from with all of this." I finally said.
If looks could could kill I know for a fact that 1,000 vampires would drop dead in an instant from the look on Teresa's face....and too be honest I think I just about died myself.
The part that came next would make anyone go deaf which is why I immediately covered both of my ears with my hands. "What?!?!?!?!" She boomed so loud I'm pretty sure everyone on earth heard her.
