Kendall

The doctor was putting the IV in my arm as he said, "okay now I'm going to give you some pain medication through the IV that will help with pain."

I just nodded and looked down at my wrist. My head really hurts right now. I couldn't even feel my wrist right now though and I can't lift my arms up I really don't know why.

"You okay?" The doctor asked. "I'm going to put the medicine in now so just relax."

'How do I relax when I'm in the hospital, hurting like hell?'

'Jack could help me relax' I thought to myself.

'No stop thinking about him' I started to argue with myself.

Just then the doctor walked in and said, "there's some boy outside to see you, says he's a good friend."

"Okay. Where's my mom and my sister?" I asked looking around the room with my head on the pillow of the hospital bed.

"In the waiting room with your that boy, I will let them know your awake and send them up."
He said and left he room as I just nodded and closed my eyes.

I laid there for not even one minute until I saw Jack walk in with mom and Mary.

Jack ran over to me and grabbed my hand in tears. "Kendall!"

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"I got your text"

He took the time to come back to Omaha for me?

Does he still care about me?

"Are you okay?" Jack asked snapping me from my deep, sober thoughts.

I nodded. "I think so"

He held my hand even tighter. "Kendall I know your not in good condition but hear me out, I love you, oh, so much. I haven't stopped thinking about you for even a second and I need you in my life, I can't even live in a world without you. I'm going to stop talking now and let you rest, I just needed to let it all off my chest, babe."

I couldn't help it. I bursted into complete tears.

"Kendall" Jack said as he rubbed my hand and I pulled him off me.

"I ca-can't" I said breaking down even more.

"Listen, we both fucked up, bad." He said and ran his fingers through my hair.

I nodded and cried even more. "I know I texted you but can we uh- maybe talk later?"

Jack just nodded, "I came all this way but okay."

"Wait Jack-" I casually bit my lip.

He turned around so fast.

"I need you too." I said crying again.

He ran back to hug me as I sobbed into his shirt and grabbed on him so tightly.
