CHAPTER 12
I wake up hearing voices shouting I open my eyes and I get up of the bed I walk to the door and open it I looked out the room and nobody was there so I walked out and I walked to the stair case I was getting closer to the voices I slowly walk down the stair case and I could hear the voice’s more clearly
it sounded like it was mike and somebody else I walk close to the voice’s and I peeked into the lounge room and I saw Zane what was he doing here and so I started listening to there conversation.
Mike: “What are you doing here”
Zane: “im here to get Emma she is mine ”
Mike: “the reason I have her is because im afraid you going to hurt her you already have”
Zane: “Emma is mine and I will get her back I don’t care what I have to do”
Mike: “you not going anywhere near her”
I have had enough of listening to them I stand out were they could see me and they both went silence and Zane he had a smirk on his face and he walked over and grabbed my arm
“OW that hurts let go of me Zane”
and he started dragging me to the front door but before he could get to the front door Mike was in front of us and he grabbed my other arm and pulled me towards him and he said
“let go of her Zane”
“look Mike im not in the mood for your bullshit I will let her stay here for another day I will be back tomorrow and don’t do anything stupid Emma is mine”
And after he said that he let go of me and walked out of the front door and I jump because he slammed the door I did not move I was scared and I did not no what to do
And I saw mike walking back into the lounge room and going into the kitchen so I followed along and when I reached the kitchen he was no where to be seen and I saw the outside door in the kitchen was open I walked over to the door and I went outside and it was beautiful the grass was so green and there were beautiful flowers everywhere and then I saw Mike sitting on a white bench seat facing a beautiful lake.
I walked over to the white bench and I sat down next to Mike and i said
“why is Zane so mean and why were you so nice to me last night you have been mean to me”
“Because he had his witch friend make a potion so I would become evil but the potion would only last certain amount of time”
“but what about the time when he saw all my bruise’s that my step mother gave me he acted like he cared”
“I guess you brought out his old self he used to be so caring”
“what changed why is he so mean and evil now”
“well after our parents got killed he just separated and he changed and got mean and evil but really his kind and caring and all that”
“So is it true am I his soul mate or not”
“Yes you are”
“And how dose he no that”
“well before out parents got killed he bumped into you a few times down the street and he would feel something you were only about 11 years old then”
“That was five years ago so how long ago did your parents die sorry for asking”
“Four years ago out parents died and Zane changed but he has never given up on you he always watched you and kept an eye on you”
“So is he really coming to get me tomorrow”
“Yes but your not going to be here when he dose”
“Why not”
“Because I don’t want him to do something stupid and you’re the only one he has besides me”
Then it went silent and then mike said
“im going in to make lunch don’t stay out to long”
I sat out there watching the beautiful lake
And I guess I lost track of time because mike came back out to tell me that lunch was ready so I got up and I followed mike inside and I sat at the bench but there was no food mike said
“Were sitting at the table this time”
So I walked over to the table and I looked at the plate and there was salad and some chicken I was just looking at the plate and mike said
“Are you going to eat that”
“Yeah” I picked up the fork and I started to eat the salad and chicken it been so long since I had chicken and salad
After I finished my plate mike was already finished and a idea came into my head
“Mike I have an idea why don’t you let Zane take me and we will see if he changes over time like you said that I brought out his old self”
“I can’t risk it he might hurt you”
“I will be fine and we will never know if we don’t try”
“Okay but if things get to hard tell me right away I will get you out of there”
“Okay can we do something today?”
“Yeah sure what do you want to do?”
“Well I know you need some new clothes so how about I take you shopping”
“Really”
“Yeah”
I got up and I ran to him and hugged him and said “thankyou” and he hugged back and said
“Why don’t you go and wash up and we will leave after you wash up shops close at five”
And I ran up stairs and washed up and then we left to go to the shops.
When we arrived the shopping centre was huge and beautiful I have not seen one of these for years and we walked inside and we started to walk around we walked into a store and I saw jumpers and leggings I walked straight over to them and mike said
“pick out a few things”
So I picked up a black hoodie (jumper) and it had a cute kitten on the front and then I picked up another hoodie and it was dark gray with saying Never Look Back on it and then 2 pairs of black leggings and I walked over to mike who was at the counter and I put the clothes on the counter and the lady at the counter scanned all the clothes and the total price of all the clothes was 60 dollars and mike gave the lady the money and then we exit the store and I mention to him
“uhmm I kind of need some new underwear”
“okay you can go in the store and I will give you the money just look at the prices”
“Okay”
So we walked over to the underwear store and I walked in and I looked around I grabbed some underwear and bra’s and the total price came up to 40 dollars for 2 bras and 2 pairs of underwear I went to the counter and paid for them and gave mike the spare money and then we left the shops and went into the car and drove back to his place and it was about 4:30pm when we go back to his place.
We went inside I was feeling really tired from all the walking around and that so I told mike that I was going to bed and that im not that hungry so I walked up stairs and went into the bedroom next to mike’s and I got in the bed and soon fell asleep.
