My One and Only

News

Thoughts were racing through my head. I didn't know what to think, or what to do. There was so many things to think about. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. Tears had somehow fallen down my cheeks. I looked at the stick I was holding. It had a little pink plus sign.

"I can't believe it," I whispered to myself. "I'm pregnant." My emotions hit me like a train. I was happy, scared, nervous, and excited all at the same time. However, I managed to push all of those emotions away and focus on one thought. What would Dean think? I had finally found my perfect man.

The man that loved me and the man that I loved. But what if he didn't want kids? What if I lost Dean to the little life growing inside of me? After wiping away the tears and making sure it didn't look like I had been crying, I went downstairs to the kitchen.

I only found Dean there. "Where's Bobby and Sam?" I asked. "They went out on a hunt," Dean replied. "You didn't go with them?" I asked. "No, I didn't want to leave you," Dean told me, making me smile. "So it's just you and me here?" I asked. "Yeah. Sounds perfect," Dean said.

I smiled before taking Dean's hands and leading him to the couch. "Babe, what's wrong?" Dean asked. "Nothing, I just, I need to tell you something Dean," I said. "Okay. Y/N whatever it is you can tell me," Dean reassured. I looked at Dean before looking down at the ground. I couldn't find the words, so I stuttered at first.

"Well, I know, well I don't know, but I want to know, how you feel, I mean, I-uh," I trialed off not being able to finish. Dean rest one his hands on the side of my face. I leaned into the touch and Dean asked, "Sweetie, what's going on?"

I sighed and said, "I'm pregnant." Dean's hand dropped a little but it didn't leave my face. "Pregnant?" Dean asked. I couldn't find words anymore so I just simply nodded yes. "How do you feel?" I asked. "I don't know," Dean said. "What do you mean you don't know?" I asked, slightly panicking.

"I mean I am happy, but I am also scared I guess. I mean we are two hunters. Sammy and I were raised into the hunter life, and I don't want that for our kid. I guess I just always figured that after a few years, you and I would quit hunting and then we would have a kid," Dean explained.

"I know Dean. It is a lot faster then I expected, but you are the most amazing man I have ever met. You are the greatest husband, and I know you will be an even better father. The truth is Dean, I'm scared, and I can't do this without you," I admitted. Dean nodded and said, "You won't have to."

With those words, he placed a sweet, gentle kiss on my lips and Sam and Bobby came in the front door. "Case was a bust, some other hunter for to it first," Sam said. "Yeah, well anyway, what's going on here?" Bobby asked. I looked at Dean who gave me a motivating smile. "Sammy, Bobby, I'm pregnant," I told them with a smile.

Both of their mouths dropped open before they each gave me a hug and congratulated me. "I'm the godfather right?" Sam asked. I nodded and Bobby said, "Big whoop. I get to be the grandfather. I mean obviously I'm gonna be the kid's favorite." We all chuckled at Bobby's remark and Dean asked, "So is it a boy or a girl?"

I laughed and said, "Dean, you don't know until you are a couple of months pregnant." "Oh, well, how long have you been pregnant?" Dean asked. "About two weeks honey," I replied. Dean got a small frown on his face and he asked, "Can't you just speed up the process?" I smiled and shook my head. "I don't think so," I told him.

"Fine. I guess I'll just have to wait," Dean said. "Dean, I'm the one who has something growing inside of her. If there is anyone who would rather not wait for 9 months, its me," I said. "You're right. I'm sorry. Is there anything I can get you?" Dean asked sweetly. I looked around the room at Bobby, Sammy, and Dean. "No Dean, everything I need and want is right here," I told him.
