Opal's POV
I can't believe that I agreed to this. I could have stayed in bed...Watch a tv show...Vampire diaries would be great right now, I would be on a date with Damon Salvatore, how perfect would it be?
Instead, I was in the parking lot of a reception building, walking back and forth, waiting for my best friend to come in the car, that she had to park very far because we couldn't find any parking closer to the building. It was one of the most popular girl of our school's Birthday "Georgia". I never believe in this popularity thing. It will never lead you anywhere. Not that I envy her or anything. I just find it really annoying to get everyone at your mercy, or I don't know, feel in a higher level than everyone. Everyone should be treated the same way...Respectfully. You must be asking me why I was at the party then? Well... Georgia and I are okay friends not that we are close or anything because you have to know who's your real friends and who's not and all I could say is the only closest, most real ...you see what I mean... friend I have is Ava, my best friend. We've known each other for our whole lives. Our mom were best friend in high school and now here we are... Best friend since kindergarten.
So as I was saying I was pacing around waiting for my best friend with the car. As I trying to take off my bag lace out my neck, in order to find my phone and call her, I accidentally broke my necklace, Seth's necklace. It's one of the most precious souvenir of him that I have.
-No...no...no I whisper yelled getting down on the floor to get it.
I was so lost in finding my brother's necklace that I didn't realize that a car was coming my way. The car stopped right in front of me. My eyes were wide open and my heart was racing in my chest, so fast that anyone that was passing by could have heard it.
- Are you crazy? I could have hurt you the guy yelled.
I got up shaking, terrified of what could have happened. I turn around to face the guy...at least to excuse myself but no words could get out of my mouth.
He was standing in his grey Audi convertible starring at me with what was not a upset expression but something that I couldn't describe. He got out of his car and approached me.
-Are you okay? He asked concern you should be a little more careful.
I just nodded, not trusting my voice. His face... He was so gorgeous.
- In any case, it's a good thing you're not part of the ceremony.
- why is that?
I couldn't believe that I had the courage to talk. Not only because I was almost hit by a car but also because I was talking to the most gorgeous guy I ever met.
-Because such a beautiful guest would make the birthday girl very jealous.
I couldn't help but smile.
-I don't think that's true but thanks anyway.
-You're the most beautiful guest here.Every word of his was making my whole body react. I didn't know what to answer back. Was it a compliment? What would a guy like him want to do with a girl like me?
-You're missing the party talking to me.
-No... I've never like those kind of parties anyway, and I'd much rather talk to you. Besides, I almost hit you with my car. That's the least I could do.
-I have to go... My friend is waiting for me.
I turn around to leave, praying that I could find where Ava was with the car. When I heard his voice again.
-Wait...what's your name?
-Opal.
Then I turn around and left.Tell me what you guys think about the first chapter. I have been inspired from a tv série to do the meeting between them two. Hope you guys like it. Vote and comment.
