Ace's POV
Ever since she came in, I've been starring at her. I was trying to avoid her and yet, she was there... At the party I was trying to distract myself... To forget about her. Guess forgetting her wasn't an option after all.

She entered the room, wearing white shorts and a black simple T-shirt, and her black sandals. She was so simple in every way and that's what I like the most about her. She's been walking all around the house, with a red cup in her hand? I assume that had no alcohol in it, while her friend was having fun.
I was begging myself not go to her but I couldn't resist. I was trying to avoid her and yet she was there at the party, so maybe it was a sign.

She was now sitting all alone on the stairs.
-Is she the new girl on your list? I heard Thaï said
Thaï is my best friend since high school, and he knew every each of my moves, except about Opal... How I felt toward her.
-What are you talking about? Trying to avoid it.
-The girl you've been starring at, ever since she walk in, I admit... She's pretty.
- I don't know man, it's not like that.
- Then what is it? What's the difference? You know her?
I shrugged
-Why so many questions?
- So you do know her. He asks with a grin.
I think this was my cue to go and talk to her.

- Is it me or you're not a party pooper as your friend? I ask her when I was finally in front of her.
I saw her jump, not realizing I was there.
I saw a smile suddenly form her lips
-Hi
was the first thing that came out her mouth.
I couldn't help but grin at her and sit next to her. Our arms and knees touched while I was sitting next to her, and I could feel my body shivered from our touch. I just decided to ignore it.
-So you're not the kind of girl who likes to party? I ask
- what makes you think that I wasn't having fun a few minutes ago?
-Because I've been starring at you ever since you walk in here .
I saw her blush at my sudden answer.
-and you? Why aren't you dancing or doing Probibited things? She said with a playful tone.
-Because I prefer being with you instead, plus I was playing pool a few hours ago.
I couldn't tell her that I was trying to forget about her by flirting and kissing other girls.
I saw her blush again, at what I said. I love the fact that I made her blush.
She stayed in silent for a few minutes.
-Why do you make it hard for me to flirt with you? I said approaching her closer, starring deep into her eyes, then starring at her lips.
I saw her lick her lips from her nervousness.
I groaned.
-Did you know that when you're nervous, you lick your lips a lot?
I saw her take a deep breath, with a thinking face.
-It drives me crazy I whispered, still staring at them.
She licks them again. I couldn't help it anymore, And decided to kiss her.
Her pink lips felt so soft and fits perfectly on mine. I touch her arm, which felt so soft, to get closer. After a few seconds which seems as a lifetime, we pulled away, us both trying to catch our breath.
- I gotta go she suddenly said getting up.
-Opal... I...
-We shouldn't have done this.
-Why not? Will it offend your boyfriend?
I wouldn't care if it did, but I also wanted to know if she did have a boyfriend.
-I don't have any boyfriend.
Which was a relieved to me
-Then what's the problem?
Did people told her about me? Did she really see me as the player I was?
-I won't kiss you again I promise... but next time you will be the one asking me to kiss you.
She looked at me surprised then turn around and left.
I smile knowing that she appreciated the kiss, just like I did.
