Zena POV

"ISIS STOP!!" I yelled "control yourself dammit!!"

Isis lowered jemima's crippled body to the floor, she was so still yet her eyes still wide with fear and a single tear trickled down her smooth, glowing cheek.

Amara approached her motionless body, "leave now while you still can and take this as a warning." She said with an expressionless face.

And with that, Jemima's body started to shimmer with white light then vanished completely, leaving a thick layer of awkwardness and regret in the room.

Isis was still staring at the spot on the floor where she'd brutally attacked the goddess, her face hard to read but one thing was clear, she was still angry....

"Isis... Talk to me, you know you can" I said softly.

"I know and Thankyou, let's go for a drink and talk"

"Good idea! I need one after all this shit!" I laughed.

"Yep and just leave me here to clean up the mess!!" Amara groaned while staring at the burn mark and blood on the floor.

"Pretty much" Isis and me both said and nodded at the same time.
With an evil glare left behind us, we headed to the nearest bar.

*********

Isis POV

It was a small yet cozy bar we went too, surprisingly quite modern, marble surfaces with black shiny stools, low ceiling with silver fitted lights and one small flat screen playing the latest chart hits.

I didn't particularly like crowded places anyway so this was perfect for Me.
"What you having then?" Zena asked.

"Hmmm, lost control, anger issues and threats = gin"

"You go girl" Zena laughed. She waved the bartender and gave fake names for the drinks tab...typical Zena, I knew she wouldn't want to pay for the drinks but who could blame her.

"I still don't understand the human ways of money, people spend so much of it on silly glasses of liquid like this instead of important things..."

"Very sad yet true" I nodded in agreement."

We slowly sipped our drinks and had small talk, neither of us really wanted to talk about what happened today because there was nothing we could do, it happened and that's that, nothing could be changed.

"One thing you need to do is control your temper" Zena started.

"You're one to talk!" I laughed.

"Yeah but I can't help it, most people on this planet are assholes..." She sniggered.

"Cheers to that" I smiled as we clinked our glasses laughing.

We finished our drinks and headed home slowly, so we had a bit more time before having to deal with one moody Amara back home.

"Soooo" Zena started, "I saw you looking at Jonathan"

"Oh shush you!" I laughed.

"Cmon! You were" she winked.

"Maybe I was, you can't deny he was gorgeous!!"

"Okay okay I'll give you that one" she smiled.

"He was so polite and sophisticated" I said.

"Oh god yeah and that smile of his, wit woo!" Zena giggled.

We carried on having a girly gossip as we turned a corner onto a little road not far from the house and as expected a group of drunk lads were walking towards us probably on their way to the bar we just came from. We were surprised we hadn't run into drunks sooner, it was a typical Friday night for humans....
