"Oh hell no!"

I looked at the black leather on my bed in dismay. There was no way I was wearing that tonight.

Seriously, Rhysand. Was I just another pair of legs to you?

Gingerly, I grasped the leather top. It felt like butter between my fingers, soft and supple. The design was simple. Basically a black shirt, but with short sleeves and rounded neckline. It was short enough to be cropped, but it wouldn't show my midriff.

My problem was with the back. It was completely open, with only a few leather ties keeping it closed. How was that not going to fall off?

The pants were skin tight. I could tell just by looking at them.

Rhysand! I am not wearing this!

Rhysand replied immediately in my head, and I was shocked at the feeling of warmth that accompanied it. I guess I had missed this easy communication too... in all of the two days that I hadn't seen him.

Just try it on, he told me smoothly, as if he had predicted my reaction. Even though he couldn't see me, I scowled and crossed my arms.

No.

Feyre! Now he sounded like he was whining. Do you want to kick ass or not?

I scoffed.

As if this slutty outfit will somehow guarantee my ass kicking. I've already been through this before, Rhysand. Remember, Under the Mountain? That was mortifying enough. Thanks, but no thanks.

There was silence for a while, and I began to pace back and forth on the tapestry carpet surrounding my bed. Perhaps I had gone too far. We hadn't ever really talked about what had happened Under the Mountain, and now his silence was making me nervous.

Suddenly, on the other side of the connection, I felt something akin to a sigh. My senses perked up instantly and I stopped my pacing, concentrating on the bond.

This is different, Feyre, Rhysand finally answered, and my chest subconsciously loosened in relief.

I had this made specially for you. The shirt is backless so that you will not be restricted in any way. And the pants are tight because that will be most advantageous to you when you're climbing trees or fighting someone.

He sighed again, and this time it was definitely noticeable.

You don't have to do anything. But seriously, consider wearing it; it could give you a major advantage.

I was taken aback. First, with the 'please,' and now with the 'you don't have do anything'? If this was Rhysand talking, he must be sick with the flu or something.

Biting my lip, I considered his words. Since he was obviously making an effort, I decided to do the same.

Fine. I'll try it on, I finally acquiesced, and in the next second I could practically feel Rhysand's catty smile.

But no guarantees! I hastily added on, and Rhysand chuckled.

Don't be so worried about it, pet. Why would I sabotage you? After all... I am your biggest fan.
