Crashed

Chapter 2: in the ICU

Liam's POV

Julie had called me earlier today telling me that her and Louis had been in a terrible car accident. So me, Harry, Niall, and Zayn are headed down to the hospital to see Julie and Lou. We were really worried. We were directed to the elevators, and were told that Julie was on the 5th floor. We knocked. She told us to come in. I looked at her. She was pretty banged up with a gash on her forehead and it was stitched up, and a couple bruises. It was 4:40 p.m. We had to wait to see Lou until past 5:15 because the were doing tests. Every minute we had to wait felt like 100 years. I just wanted to see my friend.

Julie fell asleep for 20 minutes. When she was awoken by her doctor. She told us we could go up the the ICU. But she had to be in a wheelchair. The ICU was on the 10th floor. We got up to his room. He looked helpless. The nurse left us alone with our friend.

We put Julie by Lou. You could see her start to cry. It killed me to see my best friends cry.

I couldn't take it. I told everyone I wanted to go to the cafeteria, but I really just wanted to get out of the room. I did go down to the cafeteria, and got us some snacks.

Niall ate his quick. Julie ate hers slowly.

She asked, " Do you guys think I could have a few minutes alone with Lou?" We nodded and got up to get out of the room.

Julie's POV

The guy's finally arrived. But Lou's doctor told us we had to wait until after

5:15 because they were doing tests on him. It was 4:40 and it took FOREVER just for the time to change one minute.

Zayn came and gave me a hug and so did Harry and soon followed Liam and Niall. The only thing we could so was to wait patiently. We played go fish to pass the time. I fell asleep for about 20 minutes. When I was awoken by my doctor. She told us we could go up to the ICU. I was anxious. But I had to be in a wheelchair.

The ICU was on the 10th floor. We got into Lou's room. Niall put me by Lou. He looked so helpless. I started to cry. Liam went to go get some food from the cafeteria. He came back 20 minutes later. He got me a turkey sandwich and some pudding. Niall ate his pizza faster than a flash of light. It had been 15 minutes when I needed some time alone.

" Do you guys think I can have a few minutes alone with Lou?" I asked. " Of course love", Liam said. I laid down next to Lou, laying my head on his stomach. My head moved along with his breaths. I started to talk to him, even though he couldn't respond.

" Lou, I want you to know that everything will be okay! I am a little banged up, but I'm more worried about you. Everyone is here, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Harry. Harry was going to call your mum to let them know what happened. I'm sure they will be here in the morning, because I know that visiting hours will be over soon, but I want you to know that I love you with all my heart."

That's when the boys came in to let me know they were about to leave. They came over and gave me hugs.

" We will be here tomorrow afternoon, by 1:00. Please don't overwhelm yourself. We will call you once we get back to the hotel", Harry said. " I won't overwhelm myself." I said. Then I asked, " Will one of you take me up to my room? I'm getting kind of tired." Harry responded, " Sure, I will."

We left. I told Lou that I was going to see him tomorrow afternoon.
