Chapter 27

Julie's POV

We got right on the highway, there was a lot of traffic.

"Is there Any detour we can take? This pain is excruciating." I said, curling my toes.

"I don't know. We have half a mile. Can you handle that?" Louis said, worried.

"Yeah, it's okay now." I said, feeling relieved.

Once we were off the exit, the pain kept coming. And I counted about every 8 minutes.

"We're here. Need anything from the car?" Louis asked. "Um, I need my bag in the trunk. I brought it just in case." I said, trying to get out of the car.

We walked into the hospital, and immediately got a wheel chair. The nurse took us to a room.

"The doctor will be with you in a few minutes." My nurse said.

"Wanna call my mom?" I asked, handing him my phone. "Yeah. I'll be in the hall." He said, walking out.

"Why hello Mrs. Tomlinson. And how are we?" My doctor asked. "In pain, but I'm managing it." I said, squeezing the bed handle.

He was giving me some more medication.

"How far are your contractions?" He asked, looking determined.

"About 8 minutes." Louis stepped in.

"Ahh, says your 2 weeks early, but your babies look very healthy." He said.

"Yeah, but my water broke at the beach, and we came here as fast as we could." I added, looking up at Louis.

"We could give you a small dose of epidural, but too much could stall the birth." He said, looking at both of us.

"I don't want it." I said, sure of myself.
"Are you sure, Mrs. Tomlinson?" The doctor asked. "Yes." I re-assured.

It's been a couple hours since we've been here. Only 6 centimeters dialated.

"Things are moving along nicely, Julie." Louis whispered in my ear, leaving me with goosebumps.

"Louis! Get the doctor! I think I'm ready!" I said, trying to hide the pain. "Im on it!" He said, speeding down the hallway.

"Okay Julie, are you ready?" My doctor asked. I nodded, eyes shut.

2 other nurses came in with 2 beds and some other things.

"On three, I need you to give me a big push." He said, whilst helping me.

Louis held my leg back, and the other nurse did too.

"You can do this baby. Lets have our beautiful twins." Louis whispered, and kissed my forehead.

Lou's POV

She was doing such a good job. She must be in a lot of pain. I could never do that.

"Come on, Julie, another big one coming." Her doctor said.

She was squeezing my hand. Then, with that last push, she brought our little girl here. Now time for her brother.

"One more." The doctor encouraged her.

"And he's here! I love you soo much Julie." I said, kissing her.

"Dad, you get to cut the cord." The nurse said, handing me the scissors.

I cut the cord. It was official. I was a Dad.

"You did such a good job babe." I said, wiping her forehead.

"I'm gonna go call the boys, you hang in there." I said. "Okay." She said, sounding tired.

I called Harry. No answer. I called Liam. No answer. Then I called Niall. He finally answered.

"What's up lad?" He asked. "The twins are here! Just 5 minutes ago." I said, containing my excitement.

"Congratulations!! Let me get the boys to tell them." He said, his voice high with joy.

"Congrats Lou!" Everyone said, all at once.

"Thanks. I'll send pictures later. I gotta go. Text me later." I said, hanging up.

"I'm so happy." I whispered, whilst holding my little girl. Julie has our little boy.

"I'm blessed we could have these beautiful twins." Julie said, cradling him.

"Um, could you take a picture, for me, of all of us? if you don't mind?" I asked the nurse.

"Sure thing." She said, and I handed her my phone.

"Thank you so much." I said, hugging her. It kinda felt awkward.

"Could you bring the baby bins here? I wanna try to get some sleep." Julie said, laying Ryan down.

"Yeah, anything for you guys." I said, pushing over the roller baby bin.

I set Madison down in the bin. I covered her up, and she was sound asleep. Sweet little angel.

I decided to take a little slumber myself. I lay down, right beside the bed, in the comfortable couch. Right next to my babies.

I am the luckiest guy on this Earth right now. ❤❤
