I keep walking and ignore all my dad's pleas for me to come back to the living room. I can't believe he actually did this. He thought I would be okay with this. I get him I really do but he has paid no respect to... To her, my mothe, yes I know that she died, but she has only been dead for eighteen months. You don't lose your wife through breast cancer and get married after a year and a half. That selfish and disrespectful.
I slam the door on my way out. I rush to the garage and into my black Range Rover. He got this for me as a bribe. He thought that by buying me a car I would be happy with him dating a mother woman after a year of my mom's death. But I agreed to him dating Katherine. She isn't a bad woman but in my mind she has no decency. I mean she recently got divorced and now your jumping to get married to my dad. I thought if they were even going to last long enough for marriage they would do it after like two maybe even three years of dating. But no my dad just can't keep it in for a while. He desperately wants to get married to a woman who already has two children of her own. I know that she is not after my dad just because of his money because she is loaded from the job she does and the divorce and the child support.
I know I am being a little stubborn but he has no right doing this. And they have the nerve to summon me to their so called 'Family Meeting' . Her children and herself are going to be moving into my house now. At least I won't have to share a room with her daughter and son.
I pull up to my friend Tia's house. I use my spre key and walk in. As soon as I enter I smell Mrs. Jacobson's famous mouthwatering chocolate fudge cookies. Mmm my favorite. I take a detour and enter the kitchen instead of going to Tia's room.
" Hey Lidia, how's it going?" I ask.
" Oh, you know me on my day off, in the kitchen baking cookies." She replies gentlely
"Are they ready yet?" I ask eagerly.
She laughs and says that they will be ready in fifteen minutes
"Where is Tia?" I ask
She tells me Tia is in her room. Rush straight up to her room and barged right in. Big mistake. I walk in and see my best friend sucking face with her boyfriend, Zachary. I mean I love Zach like a brother, so to see him and my best friend making out. It makes me wanna puke. I clear my throat and they jump apart and look around frantically trying to hide their embarassment. But when they realize it is me they seem to visibly calm down.
"Holy...Danielle you scared the bejesus out of me." Tia screeches.
I just stand there smirking. "We'll it's your own fault for sucking the life out of your boyfriend whilst your mom is downstairs baking cookies.
I try to joke off my anger about my dad but I just can't. Tia being the coolest best friend ever sees this and sends Zach down for some of those cookies and milk. As soon as he leaves I start bawling and tell her everything.
She tries soothing me but that just makes me feel weak. So she decides today is a girls day. She sends Zach packing and she says that I have to stay the night wether I like it or not. Doctor's orders. Did I mention how much I love my best friend. Well I do.
