Realised that the whole midnight memories album fits this story.

For the next month or so Louis fell into a rather comfortable routine.

Going to work, coming back, going to sleep. And the next day he would repeat the process.

He wasn't exactly happier than he had been in Cheshire. But it definitely did beat running into Harry around every corner

Today there was one of the few times his glorious routine had to have an exception. He had to go grocery shopping.

It was 4 pm on a Monday afternoon, it shouldn't be too busy Louis reckoned. He started to gather his wallet and keys and made his way out of his apartment.

When he stepped out and finished locking his door he noticed that there was a bunch of boxes standing in front of the apartment diagonally of his. He'd have to go greet them some time, he thought. But first he had to go get some microwavable meals and more instant coffee before the store closed. Priorities.

He hastily ran down the stairs, holding on the the railing as he jumped the last few steps. The apartment had been so cheap since the elevator didn't work and most people were to lazy to actually walk up four flights of stairs. Making his way to the local supermarket. He got all the things he needed and patiently waited behind an old lady at the cashier. Maybe the fact that she needed so long to pay had bothered Louis a bit, but what could he do about it. Paying a bit more than planned, since he may or may not have bought rubric cube to cure his boredom, he rushed to get back to his apartment. It looked like it was going to rain, but let's be honest, when does it not look like it's about to rain in London?

When he got back into the hall of his apartment he saw that the boxes had been moved into the new resident's home. He'd say hello the next day after he came back from work.

So he silently unlocked his door with a rusty little click, sighing he took his jacket off, taking a second to look at his apartment. It had very comfortable and homey atmosphere. Well, as homey as a lonely apartment can be. Harry would love it here, Louis thought shaking his head with another sigh when Louis realized that he had done it again. It still was about Harry. And he hated it.

He made his way over the the kitchen, packing away his groceries. Popping a beef ravioli into the microwave, since he couldn't cook for šhi.t, he tapped around on the countertop as he waited. Food. That was Harry's domain, he helped Harry out on a regular basis when they were still together but he certainly couldn't do it on his own. This thought was constantly on his mind for the past months, he even tried to consult YouTube for recipes. It didn't work the few times he tried. So now he's stuck on sandwiches, microwavable meals and with a broken heart on the side. Enjoy your meal!

He went to sit on the couch to eat the slightly gooey noodles, watching old episodes of Everybody loves Raymond, he giggled at some parts trying to distract himself from the horrible taste of the food.

Louis had slept terrible that night, he had fallen asleep on the couch. Again. Any bed was just too empty, it had become a rather bad habit, but it was his way of coping.

The back pains didn't exactly help to improve his mood at work. He honestly loved the place he worked at, he had a good amount of experience so they didn't hesitate to give him a nice position. Yet it still didn't improve how bad his day had started and no amount of coffee helped either. Harry would have been able to make me feel a bit better, Louis thought. And that actually made him the most frustrated. He need to fů.c.kîng forget Harry. His heart needed to recover.

When he made his way home he literally couldn't wait to just eat some damn ice cream and then sleep.

But, there's this cute little saying : be careful what you wish for.

He bumped into someone, rather roughly.

''Can you not watch where the f.ů.čk you're going?'' Louis sheathed.

He looked up to the person, he had to tip his head back a bit.

Fů.č.k, no. No no no! It can't be, Louis thought, panicked. Shitshitshitsh.it, I can't do this.

Harry stood in front of him, wide eyed, looking as good as ever, both of their jaws slack.

Reaching up to rub his temples- he could not deal with this right now or ever for that matter- Louis let an exhausted huff escape his lips, before looking up to glare at those twinkling green eyes.

''Not you again.''

''Hello to you too, Louis.''

Suddenly Louis did the math.

''This is all some sick joke, right?! You aren't the one moving in here. You're just here to - I don't even know. Nor do I fů.č.king care. Just as long as I know you're not the new resident here,'' Louis was extremely upset. He had tried to get away from Harry.

Harry chuckled nervously, ''Um, I signed the paperwork yesterday.''

''You keep finding ways to ruin my damn life!'' Louis was close breaking down in tears.

Harry frowned, ''Do you live here too?''

Louis shot daggers at Harry, ''Well no fů.č.kin' shit!''

''I was just asking..."

''Listen here, ange- Harry,'' Louis corrected himself, sighing tiredly, ''Please, don't interact with me. It's for the best. Okay? Thanks, mate.'' What was he even doing?

He could feel Harry's gaze on him as he jammed his keys into the lock, rather violently, slamming the door behind him. Gasping for air he stood in the middle of the little entry area. That's when Louis completely broke down. He pressed his back against the door, sliding down to sit, since his legs suddenly felt weak.

His lungs felt constricted and he felt like he was choking on the air he needed to breathe. The sobs that ranked his body were quiet. not amount of screaming could show just how much pain he was in.

This is all a dream. A twisted nightmare. It has to be. It just fů.c.king has to be.

And that's how Louis fell asleep on the floor in front of his door with a tear stained face and the same heavy feeling in his chest that had made him leave Cheshire in the first place.
