Lauren's POV
Long distance relationships are hard. Especially if no one thinks were not dating anymore because of the distance that separates us. I haven't seen Darren in about a year, since he joined us for part of the space tour. Everyone knew we were together then, but they assumed we broke up when he had to go back to LA. We never officially broke up, we stay in touch over the phone. I still FaceTime him everyday and tell him I love him. Of course, people still knew my feelings for Darren didn't did when he left. Now, Darren was coming back into Chicago to do A Very Potter Senior Year with us. Ever since I found out he was coming in, we've been face timing each day for several hours. Neither of us could barely sleep with the excitement that we would see each other in a few hours.

It feels as if I had only gone to sleep a few minutes ago when I'm shook awake by Jaime.
"Lauren! Come on, get up! We have to go meet Darren soon!" I jump out of bed as soon as I hear Darren's name. I take a quick shower and put on a sundress that he said he liked last time he saw me. I was almost shaking with excitement. I would finally get to see my boyfriend again! I started to frown a bit as I remembered that no one knew we were still together. Would people be surprised if I suddenly kissed him or something? I begin to worry as I hop into the car with Jaime. As we approach O'Hare airport, my anticipation turns back to the jittery excitement I was feeling earlier.
Darren's POV
I can't believe it! It's been so long since I've seen my girlfriend, Lauren. Even though I talked to her everyday, I missed being able to hold her, and to kiss her, and to be able to experience the fun environment she gives off. I step on to the plane to Chicago with her on my mind. I can't hide my excitement to see her again, I've probably been smiling all morning with just the thought of her. I'm sure Lauren will be excited to see me, but what about the others? No one knows were still together. Joey and Brian, who are also coming to Chicago with me for our new musical, sit down next to me.
"What's up Darren? You've been smiling all morning! Are you excited to see someone?" Brian asks as he gets settled in the aisle seat.
"Oh nothing Brian, I'm just so happy that I can finally be with everyone again! Man it's been so long" I reply, trying to hide my excitement for one person in particular.
"No I mean, like someone special" Brian winks.
"He means Lauren" Joey adds. I feel my self blushing when he says her name. I decide not to say anything back to him and pick up a magazine. I pretend to be interested in memory foam dog beds as I overhear Joey and Brian whispering.
"Of course he's excited to see Lauren, he obviously still likes her!" I hear joey say to Brian.
"Yeah, I bet their going to get right back together as soon as we land. I'm sure Lauren's just as excited to see Darren. Last time I called her, a few weeks ago, she kept asking me about Darren" Brian responded. I grinned. They still couldn't figure out that we were still dating. We didn't try to keep it a secret or anything, it's just that no one seemed to notice anything, even though we FaceTimed for hours each night, always ending with an 'I love you'. I decide to grab a book from my backpack and begin reading.

A few hours later, I look out the window and see the tall buildings of Chicago below us. It would be a matter of minutes before Lauren and I are reunited again.  We land and I step of the plane. As soon as Joey, Brian and I get out of the gate, we see a small figure running at us.
Lauren's POV
Jaime, Julia, and I have been standing at the airport for over half an hour. I begin to grow anxious as I see a man in the distance carrying a guitar case with two other men trailing behind him. Is that Darren? I squint closer to check. I see his dark brown hair and chocolate eyes getting closer. I could barely help myself. I drop my bag and coat at Jaime's feet and take off running. When Darren sees me, he puts down his backpack and guitar case. I run straight into his open arms and he lifts me up as we hug. Darren puts me down and I stare up into his deep brown eyes.  I seem to get lost in his beauty and before I can stop myself, I grab his head and pull him down for a kiss. I don't even think about what the others will think. Darren doesn't hesitate to kiss me back, grabbing my neck and pulling me closer. I push my lips deeper into his. We almost fall down together but Darren pulls away, probably realizing that were still in an airport. I look up at him and smile.
"I've missed you Lo!" Darren smiles. He looks past me at Jaime and Julia. "Hi girls! I missed you too!" He says as he reaches over to hug them. I turn back to Julia as she gives me a confused look. I motion to Joey and Brian and the follow me back to everyone else. I catch Joey asking Brian something and see Brian reply with a shrug. I probably should have thought about what every on else who's think before I ran in and kissed Darren. I catch up with Julia while Darren runs back to grab his guitar.
"What was that about Lo? Are you guys still-?"
"I'll explain in the car" I cut her off. I grab Darren's hand and we walk back to the car together. Julia was able to borrow a friends minivan so that we would all fit. I hop into the back and pay the seat next to me for Darren as he climbs in.
"Okay. I'm so confused right now. What's going on with you two?" Joey turns around to interrogate us.
"Oh um..um" Darren says.
"Were still together. Always have been. We never really left" I finish. Darren looks down and smiles.
"Yeah, we didn't think that distance could really keep us apart, and we didn't let it" Darren says, grabbing my hand. I look up at his dark eyes, his gorgeous smile and perfect face. Julia says something but I don't hear it as I reach up and give Darren another kiss.
