Darling,

You are everywhere, yet you are nowhere.

Strange, right?

You are no longer with me when I go to school, or when I stop by the park.

Yet, I find you in the whisper of a warm breeze, just like you used to whisper in my ear at night.

I find you in the silence of this room, just like how silent and concentrated you are when you're reading a book.

I find you in the delicate touch of the grass as it tickles my skin, just like the way your hair tickles my face when I hug you tight.

I find you in the warm embrace of sunlight, just like the warm embrace you'd offer when I'm feeling down.

I find you in the way the flowers blow around in the wind, just like your hair when we walk to the park on a windy day.

I find you in the sweet smell of spring, just like the aroma that surrounds me when I'm in your presence.

I find you in the clouds dotting the sky, just like how the freckles beautifully dot your face.

I find you in the fog, just like when our breaths mingle right before a kiss in the cool, crisp morning.

I find you in the smoothness of a rock, just like the smoothness of your soft, delicate skin.

I could probably go on forever, but forever is a long time to keep going.

We, of all people, should know that.
