"Hmm actually, never mind", He smirked teasingly
With a turn of his heel he walked out the door, closing it being him.
Red had left me curious ....... I hated the feeling of not knowing. Should I annoy the shit out of him until her spilled the beans or wait?
I sighed and scratched the back of my head. Collapsing on the edge of my bed I fell back. It felt nice to have a bed again. I tossed and turned......until I fell asleep
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was asleep and I knew this. The image of colors began to cross through my eyes. There was so many colors....
Red...
Blue....
Green...
Pink....
Brown...
Yellow...
Black....
Gray.....
Orange.....
Purple.....
and White.......
Each of these color turned began to change into different human shaped shadows. They seemed to wear a mask hiding their true self. In each of their hands, they held weapons. A pistol, a whip with a knife at the end, knifes, cards with sharped edges, throwing stars, glass vials with liquid, and more.
They turned toward me as if they are expecting me to do something. I approached them and looked down to see bodies in pieces with organs outside of the bodies.
The most terrifying part was that I did not feel any emotion as I walked on these bodies feeling them underneath my feet.
I was no myself, it was a strange........
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up sweating and rushed to the bathroom, slamming the door behind me. I collapsed on my knees next to the toilet bowl and vomited as I recalled the gore.
There was a slight knock on the bathroom door.
I flushed the toilet and rinsed my mouth with mouthwash.
"Yes?"
"It's Brown, you alright? Your door was open." Brown asked with a worried voice.
I did not recall leaving the door open. I slowly opened the door.
"You had a nightmare?"
He leaned on the wall next to the bathroom door.
I walked out of the bathroom and proceeded to the kitchen for water.
"Yes, I did have a nightmare... how did you...?"
I stared into his eyes, he was suspicious.
".......Your nightmare what was it about?"
Avoiding my question, He walked toward me and corned me against a wall of the kitchen.
I gulped and answered, "there were colored figures ..."
Brown inched his face closer to mine and stared into my eyes.
I calmed my heart beat and stared back unwavering.
"You're not telling me the whole story"
I flinched, he caught me. "...the figures had weapons."
Brown tilted his head and brought his lips near the side of my head. I could hear his breathing. He proceeded to whisper into my ear. "What you saw is real but don't tell anyone else, bunny. You might end up being eaten"
I tried to remind composed even though I had gotten goosebumps, "True?"
"You are different, never had to kill anyone.... do you know what it feels like to kill someone?"
Brown moved away just enough to watch my reaction and keep me prisoner.
I shook my head.
"Sometimes it's kill or be killed, it's what we had to do", he forced a smile and his eyes had no glint.
The thought of having to kill someone scared me. If I were to kill someone I would lose myself. There was no way I would know what he had gone through.
"Are you guys also part of this ..... mafia?"
Brown bit his lip,"Yes and no. No one knows we exist... and our job is to assassinate, do errands and such."
He stared at me "Are you scared?"
I clenched my first and stared at him. "I would lie if I say I wasn't but, I can't related to the fear you feel".
He blinked, "Fear?"
"Yes"
He ran his hand through his hair and started laughing.
I shook my head.
"Don't you have fear of killing people? Putting your life on the line?"
Brown stopped laughing and glared at me for a second. It was a split second but, I know I saw Brown upset.
Ruffling his brown hair he gave me a slight smile.
"Red will be picking you up soon for training"
Brown left my room and closed the door behind him.
I let out a relieved sigh. There was bloodlust for a split second when Brown got upset, I didn't imagine it. It send shivers down my spine recalling it.
...Some of my answers and this was only the beginning. Running right now was not an option....
