Maybe I'm Better Off Dead

Chapter 7

Placing my hand on his chest I attempted to push away. Red stood there not budging at my attempt to push him away. I bit his lip, breaking the skin and causing it to bleed.Releasing me from his grip he pushed me away.

"Hah, was that a love bite?", He smirked and wiped his mouth using his shirt sleeve.

 Wrinkling up my nose in disgust, I aimed to kick him between the legs. Sadly, he caught on and blocked my attack.

"Pathetic... You need to work on ur combat skills"

Raising his arm he checked his watch, "we have 2 hours of combat training then im dropping u off with that book nerd of a bit...."

"tch...", I clicked my tongue. I had hated athletics and would rather prefer having my nose in a book.

"We need to schedule a lecture with pink to work on your seduction skills"

Crossing my arms I glared at Red, "Why would I need to?!?!.. wait what?!?! are you picking a fight with me?"

"It wouldn't even be called a fight if it's one sided. You're to weak, both physically and mentally. You won't get the answer you want at this rate", Red sneered

I stood there in silence, Red was right. I was currently weak, and I hated it. Clenching my fist, my nails broke into my skin causing it to bleed. 

"then, tell me something you ass, how well did that old man get paid for dropping me off? If this company is loaded then, I can pay off my debt by working, right?"

Red glared at me from the corner of his eyes. It send shivers down my spine. With a single step he moved behind me and clenched my throat with his hand. His grip caused me to gasp for air.

"Do you even know about this work you're asking for?", His voice grazed my ear. Fear ran through my body, I clenched my fists tighter to control my self. 

"n....ngh...."

My voice would not come out. I clenched the wrist  of his hand that was holding me and scratched him. 

"l..... gggg......!"

"heh....you can't even escape this..... Have you even awakened your abilities?"

He released his grip and dropped his hand. I rubbed my neck and glared at him. What did he mean by this kind of work? Work that required you to get out of a situation were you felt pain? or where you might die?

"red.... what did you mean?"

The door slammed open and a loud demanding voiced echoed through my living room. 

"Where is that idiot?!?"

Red jumped in response and looked panicked. I tilted my head in confusion.... One minute choking me and the next, he was frightened?

A blurred figured dashed passed me and the next thing I saw was red flying across my room and crashing into the glass patio windows. 

"Hah! You dared cross me you file creature. You should just bow down to me and accept ur place! HAHAHAHA!"

A woman with long purple hair laughed and stood in front of where red had been standing. The black trench coat  covered her body along with heeled black boots that went above her knees.

"Purple, you idiot!"

Red brushed off the glass and stood up glaring at the woman. He sighed and placed a hand on his head. Running his fingers though his hair he looked at me and pointed to the lady. 

"That's Purple ..... you can ask her your questions. Im canceling our combat training for today", blood dripped from his arms as he walked passed me and out the door.

"Tch... getting hurt from that type of attack. you're getting rusty Red..."

Collapsing herself on the coach she shifter her body to face me. 

"Are you going to jut stand there? You really aren't a good host... bring me some tea!"

Her demanding voice made me jump. Now I had realized the respect and fear Red had felt back then. 

I rushed to the kitchen and came back to the living room to place tea in front of her. Sitting down in front of her, I stared and waiting for her to speak.

"You're going to burn a whole right through me just by staring..... If you have any questions, I will answer them along as they won't bring me trouble"

I gulped and opened my mouth to begin asking the questions I had longed the answered for. The questions that will make me stronger and tell me how to escape from my uncles grasp.
