Chapter 12 Ernestine

I woke up in a dark large metal room. I was strapped into a metal chair with an evil looking contraption above me. I looked to my right and Heironomo was sitting next to me, strapped into a metal chair with a similar evil looking contraption above him. "Hi" he said weakly. My eyes widened. I looked around me and there were people my age in the same state that Heironomo and I are in. We were all strapped into metal chairs with contraptions above our heads.

Dr Ernestine suddenly appeared in front of me. "Hello Skyler welcome back. Anything familiar?" he asked. I just glared at him in pure hatred.
"That's what I thought" he said bluntly. "What do you want with me?" I asked bitterly.
"What I've always wanted. To use you as a weapon" he told me.
"I am not a weapon" I told him sternly.
"Yes you are. That is why you are not normal. You have some unique powers. Unfortunately you had to be tortured for 3 years to get it...." He told me.
"What's it to you. You enjoyed torturing me" I cut him off.
"Do you know how long it took to completely erase your memory?To get you to be able to naturally camouflage yourself. For you to be able to have a strong force field abilities. Which resulted in you having indigo eyes and glow in the dark indigo hair." He told asked me.
I remained silent. Wow that would have taken a while.
"You know why I did it?" He asked. " Because together we can defeat the world and rule over it together" he told me in an evil way.
"Why does every super villain want to take over the world?" Heironomo asked in a bored tone of voice.
"I don't know it's probably just their thing" I answered.
"GUYS! This is serious business we're talking about. Don't turn it into a comedy show" Ernestine tried to grab our attention.
"So what do you think is for dinner?" Heironomo asked.
"Seriously you're strapped to a chair ready for me to torture you. And all you can think about is what's for dinner" Ernestine asked in an annoyed tone of voice.
"So can I have some hot chilli dog? I'm hot and you're a creepily chilli old dog" I said in a smart aleck way .
"No you're not" Heironomo told me.
"In temperature wise genius. In appearance I look like the walking dead gone wrong." I told him.
Suddenly Heironomo and I were given a electric shock.
"I suppose we did deserve it" I did a fake laugh. Heironomo nodded his head in agreement.
Ernestine chuckled. He pressed a button and everyone strapped to a chair was in an extreme amount of pain as the devices electrocuted us ( not enough to kill us but enough to cause pain), burnt and jabbed us.
"Skyler join me or you and your family will perish, along with everyone in this room. Their blood is on your hands Sky." Ernestine threatened.
"NO!" I managed to scream out of pain.
"You foolish girl" he taunted then smiled wickedly. Our pain suddenly ceased. It was silent for a few minutes. Then he pressed a button and a child dropped dead in her seat. All the children screamed and sobbed. I just stared at the body horrified. "You can thank Skyler over here for her death. If it wasn't for Sky then the girl would still be alive. She is the real murderer here. She wants to see all of you perish" Ernestine announced and pointed to me as my chair was moved to the middle of the square. I felt everyone's glare on me. I had my head down low. "No that's not true. I'm not a murderer. I wish for all of you to live" I cried out. They didn't listen to me but murmured amongst them selfs. "Join me Skler or more innocent people will die" Ernestine shouted. I shook my head. "Millions of innocent people will die if I join you" I told him.
"You hear that she is willing to sacrifice all of you." Ernestine shouted trying to get everyone to turn against me. He pressed a button and three more people dropped dead in their chairs. "YOU ARE A MURDERER"a person yelled at me.
"She needs to die so that we have a slight chance of survival" another person said.
"Should Skyler be next to die. I shall make it extremely painful for her. Shall I execute her?" Ernestine asked.
"YES" everyone except for Heironomo yelled. I felt my eyes fill up with tears. No mustn't cry or show emotion. I was trembling.
"You are going to have a slow and painful death Skyler. As for your family, friend and everyone in this room. Except for me of course will die" Ernestine whispered in my ear.
"Skyler will you join me" he asked. I hesitated. I looked at Heironomo who gave a me a look of concern as he nodded slightly. Everyone was waiting for an answer, and Ernestine was waiting to push the button. "Yes" I answered reluctantly.
"Sorry what was that I didn't quite hear you" Ernestine teased.
"YES" I shouted "I will join you. Now let them and my family go"
"As you wish but Heironomo and your family are not going anywhere but they will live for now. Do you understand?" He asked me.
"Yes I understand" I answered.
He smiled good. He pressed a button and everyone except for Heironomo and I were released. Some of them slapped or punched me in the face. "My sister and brother would be alive if it wasn't for you" a boy told me as he punched my neck, making it nearly impossible to breathe. "I hope you suffocate and die you bustard" a girl told me as she jumped on my feet and smashed my head against the metal chair. They all left but all of them tried to hurt me in different ways. I was physically and emotionally in pain.
" Skyler I don't hate you. And Ernestine is the murderer not you" Heironomo told me in a soft comforting way.
"You're the only one. Thank you" I thanked him. He gave me a small smile which I returned.
"Heironomo I need you to help me as well. You are also my weapon and if you and Skyler work together both of your attacks will three times more effective" he told Heironomo. "What do you say will you join us.?" Ernestine asked enthusiastically.
"Uh.... fine but only because you will kill someone if I don't" Heironomo sighed.
"And also the fact that you want to be with Skyler" Ernestine added in.
"Wait how did you........" Heironomo protested as Dr Ernestine laughed hysterically.
"Now I have some cool sweet outfits for you two." He told us.
"Outfits?!" Heironomo and I said in unison. Ernestine pressed a button and Heironomo and I were released from the metal chairs. I quickly stood up, and winced at the pain in my right, ankle after a bit of the machine smashed into my ankle.
"Yes I'm free" Heironomo celebrated.
As soon as he said that Dr Ernestine put a shock collar on him and I.
"Oh" he grumbled as Ernestine snickered to himself quietly.
