A darker secret

Chapter 15 Final battle

Swarms of robots with laser weapons came flying out. I put a force field around the people so that they don't get hurt. They started to fire at everything then went to surround me. "Destroy her" I heard Ernestines voice through one of the robots.
I put a small force field inside of the robot and then fully expanded it coursing for it to explode. (My whole body now had a full indigo glow.) I quickly punched some of the robots heads off. I grabbed some of the robots with a couple of force fields and released the force fields as they began flying into each other, and smashed into each other coursing a mini explosion. Then I quickly grabbed a robot by the legs and quickly span it around in a circle, knocking over and of the nearby robots. I quickly then grabbed 50 robots in a force field and dramatically shrinked the force field causing them to be crushed together in a medium sized metal ball. I quickly threw the ball into a group of robots, knocking them down like bowling pins.

All of the remaining robots surrounded me facing their laser cannons towards me. I quickly put a force field around me and a millisecond later they all blasted at me at once. As robots kept firing at me some of them were trying to break down my force field. One of the robots got a electric stick that can go through even the strongest of force fields. The blasted thing started to electrocute me with it. All I could do was stand there because I was concentrating my energy on the force field that is mostly protecting me. By the seconds it became more and more challenge to keep that one force field up. I quickly released the hundreds of force fields that I was holding up around the city so that I could have more energy and strength to hold up this one force field, which is being attacked by thousands of robots. I was starting to hold the force field up with more strength and energy. Then the annoying robot electrocuted me again, which caused my force field to weaken. It kept on electrocuting me until finally I was too weak to hold the force field up, by then I was breathing heavily. I had collapsed to the ground as I was shot in the shoulder and lower leg. I started to get shot a few more times.

My life started to flash before my eyes. I remembered holding my mother's hand when I was three. Playing in wheat fields. I also remember crying in a van while I was being kidnapped, the whip that used to be used on me, Dr Ernestine tormenting me. Then I remembered making new friends, my gang, Heironomo and my best friend at school. Lastly I remembered my adopted family and a few of the fun times we had, even though out time was short.

"Skyler! Wake up! Please don't die on me. Don't die please. Don't die. WAKE UP" I heard Heironomo's voice break slightly as I felt a few drops of tears on my face. My eyes flickered open. The first thing I saw was Heironomo's weeping face turn into a face of relief. "Besides for the fact I got shot. What happened? I thought the robots were going to finish me off. Why am I still alive I've been shot in multiple locations?" I asked him. He smiled.

"Well you're not the only one with superpowers you know. I turned myself into a laser and got rid of the robots that were shooting you and I helped protect you. And yes you were shoot but none of the shots hit your vital organs" he told me.

"Ever heard of blood loss. It's another thing that can kill you if you loss to much blood that is" I told him.

"What's your point?" he asked.

"Uh forget it we're in the middle of a war zone. We can talk later" I told him whilst rolling my eyes.

"Wait you're injured you really shouldn't ....." he stated to tell me.

"This suit conveniently heals the person inside of it five times as fast as usual time for self healing" I told him as I just quickly remembered. Hey it said it on the tag anyway and my wounds are already almost healed. Well healed enough for me to jump back into the fight.

"Oh that explains why she's still alive" he mumbled to himself. I just rolled my eyes and stated to destroy hundreds more of robots.

"Hey are you going to stand there looking beautiful or are you going to help us fight. You know if you destroyed a few more robots I don't think anyone will object" I yelled out to him playfully. I quickly stood in a circle with the army and we worked together to destroy more robots. The police were also defeating them as well. "Camouflage you go protect the east side of the city" the general ordered. I nodded and obeyed. "Hey pretty boy you go and protect the west side of the city" I heard the general order Heironomo as I was flying off to my location. I couldn't help but giggle at Heironomo being called 'pretty boy'.
