Chapter 2 Welcome to the future

Percy quickly tapped a few buttons. It was suddenly really windy and we were quickly zapped out of the tiny room. We arrived at the top of a sky scraper. "Welcome to the future" Percy sighed. I looked around me. The technology is better but the city looks like a bomb site, no seriously there a buildings collapsing, Holes in the ground that used to be buildings that exploded. There are also buildings that are crushed in a ball. Instead of the sky being blue it was brown. The air was bitter. "If this is the future than why did you want to go back?" I asked in a tone of sorrow. "I've caused THIS!" I shouted in horror. "Yes you can explode things and crush things with your force fields. Oh and you can fly by using your force fields like a hover board" Percy explained in a serious tone. I looked around things were exploding every where "cool" I stated as if it was special affects I was admiring. I looked at Percy who was crossing his hands giving me a glare. "I mean it is a disaster about all the explosions. The explosions look cool the bad thing is that people are getting hurt." I accidentally turned my self into a sparrow and back into a human. Cool I've never done that before. "Then what are you waiting for put force fields around them? and since when could you turn into birds?" Percy urged. I quickly put a force field around the injured people that I could sense. I was too late for some of them. Well I couldn't see them but I some how sensed where the people close to me are. I released the force fields. "So now what?" I smiled. He smiled back "I'll take you back now, to the present. This is what will happen if you keep on making foolish decisions, which is how you got in jail." he took my hand.

"Wait what if I...uh.. don't want to go back ... uh you know in the cell I mean can you land me in anouther country where I can speak the language and be free. Sorry but jail isn't the place I would rather go. If you don't mind could I not go back where you found me" I studded in broken english. This place might be polluting to the nostrils, that the smell makes the garbage truck smell good. Well it's better then being trapped in a building full of scary people. Oh wait I feel like I'm gonna be sick, lets go back. "OK hurry up lets go before I puke all over the country side. How on earth do you manage to put up with this smell" I told him while holding my nose. He laughed in a way of saying ha ha sucker"The smell is only because we are next to a garbage dump and a sewage farm on either side of the building, oh yeah and polluted air" he giggled.

"I think I know how the explosion happened. The smell is so bad it made everyones nostrils explode" I joked.

"What! nostrils don't explode"he laughed like what on earth is this crazy girl on about.

"That's the hypothesis" I gave a cheeky grin. OK I know nostrils don't explode but it was strangely fun to joke about it.

"Okay I'm taking you back to your time"Percy told me as he grabbed my arm and pressed a few buttons. Before I could say anything I was back in the cell as the sun light just trickled through the small window. "Well so long Skyler I have responsibilities to deal with " he smiled. Before I knew it he had gone in a flash.
