Scene: You moved around Seoul for quiet some time. You take care of your little sister Mai, she's 5. Working and keeping an eye on Mai is pretty hard. You constantly need to find a new sitter because she's a handful and a trouble maker. She doesn't really do well around strangers. You've gone from apartment to apartment building the past few months, trying to keep your job. They haven't fully decided where to station you yet but you have a good feeling this is the final place you'll be moving. It seems nice and quiet. Maybe Mai might even like it.
"Unnie!!!!" Mai called out.
"Mai! Shhh!" You said. "I'm coming."
"Huwwy up! This looks weally pwetty!" She smiled.
I went inside our new apartment. The view was amazing. I looked at Mai. She was so happy, it filled my heart with joy to see her eyes light up.
"Come on Mai. Lets get the rest of our stuff inside. Go get your backpack and teddy bear. I'll bring in the rest. After you bring your things in you better go brush your teeth and get ready for bed, I have work tomorrow and Mika is coming to baby sit. Araso?" I said.
She groaned and pouted. "I don't like Mika! She's so boring!" She stomped.
"Mai! Stop it! It will only be for a couple of hours okay? If you behave I'll bring you some ice cream. Sound good?" I said.
"No, I want cupcakes!" She smiled.
"IF you behave, if I get a single phone call from Mika I'm not bringing you anything and I'll have to call Ms. Tamagashi to come baby sit. You want that?" I asked.
"No! Unnie! Anything but that!" She hugged me.
"Very we'll then. Go get your things and do as I say." I patted her head.
I was so glad that the apartments were already furnished. All we had to bring along was our clothing and other belongings. In my case Mai's toys. I walked out and Mai was talking to a guy. She never does that! He's kinda cute too. He was just staring at her as she blabbed about us being new to the building.
"Mai. What are you doing? Get back her this instant!" I said.
The guy looked at me. Wow, he really is cute. He didn't look so nice though, a serious expression on his face when he saw me.
"Oh! This is my Unnie." Mai went on.
"You're not a very good sister." He looked at me seriously.
"E-excuse me?" I said. He doesn't even know me!
"What kind of a sister lets her little sister come out ALONE in a place where you don't know what could happen! If I was a bad guy I could've kidnapped her, are you an idiot or what?" He said.
Mai giggled. "I wike him Unnie."
"Mai go inside...." I said.
"But..."
"NOW Mai. Please go inside." I said.
She looked at the guy and pouted. He patted her head and slightly smiled. He was cute but mean! At least to me anyway. Mai seems to like him though. She grabbed her teddy bear and backpack then went inside. I made sure she walked all the way in then I looked at him.
"Listen, I don't appreciate you lashing out at me in front of my little sister. I don't know who you think you....Hey! I'm talking to you!"
The nerve he was ignoring me AND walking away!
"Whatever. I have no interest in what you have to say. You should be taking care of your sister "Unnie". I could care less what you think of me..." He unlocked the door to his apartment and closed the door.
