Chapter 9

So we went up to Ariel's room. Her camera was set up on her desk, facing the chair in the corner behind her door. As usual, her room was neat, but messy around the edges. I immediately sat on the corner of the bed, in 'my' spot. Dan and Phil followed us in, but stood a bit awkwardly in the doorway.

"Come on in!" Ariel said, grabbing each of their hands and dragging them in. She turned to me. "I think we're gonna have to move the camera to face the bed. There isn't any room for the four of us otherwise."

I nodded. "What sort of video should we make?"

Dan smiled. "Well, I've already tweeted that Phil and I are making a couple videos with some really cool girls we met in America..." I blushed a bit. "... And told them to ask us questions Truth-or-Dare style."

"Oh god. Well, this will be interesting..." Phil said. Great. Truth or Dare. Absolute favorite... not. Ugh oh well. Could be fun. I sat on the bad, grinning. Ariel turned on some background music, and turned the camera on. "Three...two...one... Hey! Come here often?" She winked and grinned, her usual flirty opening. "So, as you can see, I'm here with AleciaJonesTheEpic," "Hello peoples." I waved. "... and British Youtube stars Danisnotonfire and AmzingPhil!" "Hello Internet." "Hi guys!" They both put on their adorable smiles. "So, we are going to play Truth or Dare, it will be unedited and put up immediately. Well, if we don't fall asleep first. Dan! You have the questions, do you not?" "Right here! So whose going first?"

The game resulted in a few embarrassing stories and a bit of wounded pride. I had to stick my face in ice water... but I think the worst dare was Dan's. He had to a eat a sandwich comprised of random ingredients from Ariel's kitchen. It was horrid and painful to watch. But he made it through, and we all ended up back in the bedroom, sitting on the floor.

I was holding the camera, training it on Ariel as she chose truth. "Do you like anyone at the moment, and if so, who?" Phil read aloud. The blonde girl blushed. "Erm, well......." "What was that I couldn't hear you?" She looked at me, eyes pleading. I shook my head. "You have to do it." She sighed. "Ok. Um.... I never thought I would meet him, or become friends, but doing so kind of cemented it in my mind, you know?" We all looked at her expectantly. "Its Dan." She said, blushing and quickly burying her face in a pillow.

I stared at her. Oh. Ok then. Dan was gaping at her with no words. Phil just smiled knowingly. "Well, I guess it was obvious, wasn't it?" He asked me. "Yeah... it's always funny when two people like each other but are oblivious..."

I looked up from my pillow. "Pffsh, you're one to talk." I muttered, knowing she couldn't hear me. I glanced at Dan. He was staring back at me, chocolate eyes wide. I blushed again and looked away. "Um a-anyways.... who's next?" Phil scrolled through. "I think we're done..." "Ok." I grabbed the camera from Alecia and said goodbye to the audience, grinning for them. After I shut off the camera I busied myself with uploading the video, ignoring the others, letting them talk among themselves. I could hear Phil and Alecia laughing behind me, but Dan was silent.

When I finished I yawned loudly. "Lets sleep!" We all stumbled down the dark staircase to the movie room. We situated ourselves to sleep.

An hour later, everyone was asleep. I snuck upstairs because I had forgotten the pillow I can't sleep without. As I went back down, I was startled by Dan walking out of the kitchen with a glass of water. "Oh! Hi." I whispered, not wanting to wake anyone. I clutched my pillow to my body, hugging it. "I, um, I'm sorry about earlier... I've made you uncomfortable... I'll not bother you anymore." He came closer, setting his glass down on the coffee table. "No no, it's completely fine. More than fine, in fact." I looked up at him. "What do you mean?" He leaned down, his face closer to mine, his dark eyes meeting my bright purple ones. I could feel his breath. "What I mean is.." suddenly, the light flicked on, blinding white lights. "What's going on here?"

Hey guys! I am so, so so sorry! I was rather discouraged when a whole unpublished chapter was deleted on accident, and I sort of stopped writing. I lost interest in the story as well. But I looked back at my comments and such, and decided to give it another go! I'm still working on getting back into it though, and remembering old ideas, so there will be slow updates. They will be better than this last one though, most definitely!
