Just to clarify, this story is based on the point of view of Millie's youngest daughter, Lucy. Anyway, here is the first chapter of my second story, Relevant. I hope you like it😊:
Every moment that day was a blur; like a footprint near the shoreline of a beach. It could never become more vivid, however soon the tide was to come and possibly every memory I have of that day would be quickly washed away, without a trace. The one thing I do remember was that treacherous moment. I stood five feet away from my sister. my dead sister. Shot in the back of the head. What an awful end. I loved my sister, she was the only person who stood by me throughout. Well, anyway let's start from the beginning.
My head fell to the floor, weeping hopelessly. Tears filled my blood shot eyes as they burned through my skull. "What's wrong with me?!", I cried not realizing that my mother was stood directly behind me. "What's wrong darling?" She asked placing her hand upon my delicate face. "Nothing" I replied, trying to hide any form of emotion. "Well clearly something is wrong, so you might as well tell me; perhaps I can help you_"
"No it's fine, there's nothing wrong. I just...need some time alone" I replied as she dragged herself away.Maybe I should have told her? But, she wouldn't have been able to do anything. I just wished sometimes that I had someone to talk to; properly. It was coming close to prom and sixth form and I didn't have any proper friends. I mean yeah I seemed to be fairly popular but my "friends" are closer without me. Everything was going wrong. No-one loved me. Even my own mum preferred my sister over me.
My mum was always going on about how we're only half sisters and that Olivia's dad was the most wonderful man she'd ever met, however my dad was some drunk off the streets. Throughout the years, Olivia has always had the better life. For example Olivia got the biggest birthday presents, mother payed good money for her tutors, bought an expensive piano for when her and her friends had there own garage band, bribed teachers when Olivia's grades were a little too low and even promised to hand down the company to her.
Why was I so different? Why was I so irrelevant?
