I didn't make anything of it at first. They were purely whispers; it was extremely unlikely that they'd be about me. However after a few minutes I kind of caught on to the idea that people may be whispering about me. A short pair of girls stood slightly in front of me, giggling. I reached out and tapped one of them on the shoulder, "why are you laughing at me. I've done nothing wrong!"
"Haven't you heard?", the scruffiest of the two replied, "no!"
"Ask Eve. She's one of your friends isn't she?"
"I_" before I could finish, the two girls raced off laughing, leaving me to quiver on my own. My blood boiled as I continued to walk in the cold; alone.

CRASH! A thin, dreamy eyed boy crashed into me; his skin as pale as mine. "I'm so sorry!" He shouted, wishing for me to not be angry. "It's ok" I laughed, causing him to loose his balance once again and plummet to the ground. He was clearly extremely clumsy. However, at least the fall did bring my spirit up a little. His long brown mop leaned towards me, "your new here, right?" I asked curiously, "yep, just transferred"
"Well, if you ever need any help or something... I'll be right here. I'm Lucy by the way, Lucy Johnson"
"Thanks Lucy, I'll remember that. My names Dan, Dan Smith".

His eyes were deep chestnut pools in which I sunk into. Distracted by his amazing gaze, I hadn't noticed that we'd come to a holt by the school; we said our fair wells and parted as acquaintances. Dan's distraction caused me to forget the rumors for a short period of time, however reality soon sank back in when I observed a few more people.

I strolled up to a few of my friends, "did you hear any rumors about me?"
"Yeah we heard loads about you"  my friend Sally sniggered as she passed me her phone. My mum was ringing.

"Hello? Mum is that you?"
"Yes, it's me. Listen darling...there's something I have to tell you. I'm sorry but everyone knows this now but you. I've started to take up tablets, only because they give me that buzz in the morning, which I need as my life itself has very little buzz. I'm sorry" she hung up the phone. Why would she do this. Why would she become a druggy?
