Author's Note- Hey! So, in the spirit of Christmas, I have written this Percabeth Fanfic for @KittyKat43 and @The_love_nurse. Thank you so much @shipper98 for your support. Love you!

Oh and I am a very fast typer and words go through my head faster than my fingers can key them in, so there may be a few typos, but I will comb over them soon. Thanks for reading!

My Dearest Annabeth,

Because you've been a very good girl this year, I've decided to drop off something I'm sure you'll like very much.

Enjoy!

Your Secret Santa.

Annabeth glanced back at the package which came with the note, meticulously wrapped in glossy grey paper and tied together with pearl white ribbon. She took it apart gingerly until she uncovered the package completely, only to find 'Towards a New Architecture', a novel by Le Corbusier! She had gone to every book store in New York, but had failed to find even one copy of it anywhere. She had lamented over the fact that she would never get to read it. But lo and behold! She could barely hold back her squeal of excitement. This had to be Percy's doing!

Maybe Seaweed Brain had something inside of his hollow skull after all.

After pulling her curly blonde hair into a ponytail and putting on a jacket over her Camp Half Blood T-shirt, she made her way out of her cabin, decorated with green and red tinsel and dazzling fairy lights in the spirit of Christmas. The sky was partially clouded, but a few beams of warm sunlight had managed to make their way around them. Her dark blue jeans were a bit faded, but she liked the rustic effect that it had on them. She fingered the chain of beads around her neck, most of which, she had received at camp over the years. Her stormy grey eyes were brimming with happiness. She headed in the general direction of the Arena. Percy was bound to be there, slicing the poor, unsuspecting dummies with Riptide or taking a jab at the other campers who had assembled there. He had most definitely earned a kiss today. Maybe even two.

She waved at the people passing by as she made her way to her destination, the cold nipping at her cheeks. Once she got there, she scanned the entire area. It was pretty much packed with campers who were practicing their moves on the inanimate straw-people, clashing swords with more than willing volunteers, or just watching on.

When her eyes fell on Percy, she stopped dead in her tracks. Percy, dressed in the Camp Half Blood T-shirt and black jeans was seated beside Rachel, who had on a grey blouse and black balloon pants, her fiery red hair braided into a neat plait,. They were totally engrossed in an animated conversation. Every few minutes they would laugh until their faces turned red.

Now a rational part of Annabeth knew that she was being unreasonable. She and Rachel had grown close over their time at camp, their bond further strengthening during the time Percy had gone missing. She was also fully aware of the fact that she was good friends with Percy as well.

Then why did her merriment suddenly dissipate to make way for irritation and a hint of jealously? Maybe it was the fact that they were seated so close to each other. Or the fact that Percy hadn't spoken to her that way in over two weeks.

She strode toward where they were seated and watched in dismay as their cheerful expressions grew somber on seeing her.

"Sorry to intrude, but can I have a moment with my boyfriend?" Annabeth said, ensuring that the emphasis on my boyfriend was not lost.

"Um... sure Annabeth." Percy glanced back at Rachel. "What's up?"

Annabeth could barely put a lid on her rising anger. She spoke through clenched teeth. "Alone."

Percy nodded. "All right, that's cool." He looked back at Rachel and gave her a good bye salute. "I guess I'll see you later then."

Rachel waved back as they exited the arena and headed for the strawberry fields, the awkward silence stretching between them, the tension now very much palpable.

Sensing the discomfort in the air, Percy took Annabeth's hand in his and rubbed his thumb against her palm in soothing circles. "Is everything okay Wise Girl?"

"Sure sure. I just spotted my boyfriend possibly flirting with a girl he possibly liked at some possible time. Of course everything is fine. Absolutintutely fine." Oh dear. She was absolutintutely losing it.

"Woah! Hey! Slow down! Rachel and I weren't flirting. We were just...talking. Friends do talk Annabeth. Besides, I love you. Only you. You know that."

She had heard it more times than she could count, and every time he said it, her heart would melt just a little bit more. But she was still miffed. "Whatever. Listen, were you the one that left me a gift for me at my cabin?"

Please say yes. Please say yes. Please say yes.

"What gift?"

Annabeth's heart sunk at a painfully swift pace. "I found a gift at my workspace at the cabin. It was 'Towards a New Architecture', that book I'm always obsessing about? It had a note attached to it from a Secret Santa. That wasn't you?"

Percy looked utterly confused. "Umm.. No?"

Annabeth couldn't ignore the disappointment nibbling at her. "Forget it. You can go back to Rachel now."

Percy tried to catch her before she ran away, but she had walked away so quick that he came up empty handed. He shouted to get her to stop. "Wait! Annabeth!"

She ran back to her cabin, trying so hard to hold back the tears she felt brimming in her stormy grey eyes. Finding her way beneath her quilt, she stared at the ceiling, forlorn and miserable, willing all of the pain she felt to disappear by some magical means.
