A/N- In my honest opinion- if you're a hardcore Percabeth fan, you'll probably like this chapter the most <3
She hadn't really imagined spending her evening dressed in a tee, jeans and a leather jacket, yelling for a taxi.
Maybe if they had the indignation to stop, it would have made it a lot easier. Piper had tried really hard to lure them using Charmspeak. Leo had declared that he had a reputation at stake and that he wasn't going to ruin it by screaming at cars. Hazel and Frank were running up and down the curb trying to get them to stop, waving and jumping like crazy people while Jason whistled as loud as he could to get their attention, but to no avail.
Percy hadn't made it yet. According to Frank, he was going to join them later.
Finally, they gave up on the taxi idea and decided to take the bus that was headed towards the general direction of the park.
After covering the rest of the distance from the bus stop by foot, they made it to 'The Joyride.' It was massive, to say the least. Excited screams of people on roller coasters echoed through the area as many other fun and dangerous looking rides came into view. The promising smell of delicious hot fried chicken and other lip-smacking snacks had everyone's stomachs grumbling.
As they bought their tickets, they made their way into the park. There was excited chatter about which ride to try first when all of a sudden Rachel appeared from behind them. She looked straight at Annabeth.
"Well hello there. Fancy meeting you here. I figure that, being the smart girl that you are, you've already put two and two together by now?"
Annabeth tilted her head from one side to another in a so-so gesture. "Well, I know for a fact that the whole scheme that everyone was a part of was related to where we are right now. I wasn't told about what was happening because clearly the plan has something to do with me. The crux of the plan is to be executed here, considering that all six of you have stopped being secretive and are waiting for me to make a move. I also know that Seaweed Brain is the mastermind behind this. What I don't know is where he is and why he isn't here right now."
Rachel laughed in admiration. "Daughter of Athena you are indeed. Well yes, this plan is all about you and yes, this is where it all unfolds. And to answer your doubts, Percy is already here. He's waiting for you to join him and he asked me to give you this." She handed over a piece of paper with Percy's swirly handwriting on it.
Hey Wise Girl,
Under the assumption that you have been debriefed on everything that has occurred till now, there are a few things I need to say. First off, I sincerely request you to not judo flip me when you finally find me, because while the previous experience was... interesting to say the least, I'd rather not put my back through that again. The kiss, however, will be much appreciated. Secondly, I am so very sorry about what you had to go through these past couple of weeks and for not being there for you when you were hurt. All of the secrecy adds up to this moment and I'm certain you won't regret it. I hope the gifts made you feel a tad better though- which brings me to number three- yes, I was the one who picked out the gifts (I know what you're thinking... my boyfriend is the BEST!), but technically they were wrapped and delivered by everyone else. So, truly speaking, all of us were your secret santa. Fourthly, I love you. Just - you know- putting it out there.
Each of the people standing before you was of great help towards making this happen. So I hope you won't hold a grudge against them for being involved in my little evil scheme.
