I called for my carriage and minutes later was told everything was ready I headed down stairs and on my way bumped into my mother. "Where are you going she grumbled." I smiled a sweet smile. "I'm just going to have lunch with a friend that I bumped into today." She glared at me for a moment and then waved me away, "Alright, go then." I ran outside and got in the carriage. The driver brought me to the park and I got out I looked around and not seeing Thomas sat down on a bench to read the book I had brought. Seconds later Thomas showed up and continuously apologised for being late. "Its alright, Its fine" I had to remind him each time before we went to explore the park we sat down and ate cheese, bread, and wine. Which was all rather delicious. On our walk Thomas brought up the topic of my paintings and asked how I made the illusions. I explained that it was just how I shaded the different parts of the painting that made different images appear. He seemed very intrigued by this and asked if I would come back to his house and show him how I made them I had to think awhile knowing my mother would not be happy "Sure, why not." I said smiling We walked back to where we had begun and I sent my carriage home.I knew it was improper for a lady to go to a man's house without their fathers approval but frankly I didn't care. Thomas helped me into the carriage and then followed close behind me. When we got to his house I hesitated to go inside it was so large and marvellous. He brought me to a small room where the shelves were full of paints and there was a small couch and fireplace with next to which was an easel. Thomas gathered a canvass for me to paint apoun. He knelt down next to the fire place and started a warm fire. I collected some paints and set to work.
