On the way home Carson was staring at me, making me feel very uncomfortable. I thought about telling someone the uneasiness I felt near him but eventually decided against it, filing it as just paranoid. Suddenly though I got light headed as if someone drugged me. I faintly remember drinking some water that Carson handed me earlier but he surely wouldn't have drugged me, would he? I turned my head toward Carson but he had a serious face on as he stared straight ahead. I pulled over and said," Could you drive? I don't feel that well." He nodded and we traded places. We started on the road again and this time I fell unconscious.
When I woke up I wasn't in my house or even my car. No, I was somewhere I didn't even recognize. Carson walked in followed by two others. "I see it has awoken," the blonde of the two new guys said. "Her name is Vanessa, Shane!" Carson snapped. I moved backwards a little bit until I hit the wall. Then I realized, Carson had kidnapped me. I started shaking as an unknown coldness took over my body. "Look she's scared," the black haired boy said. "Ethan, shut up!" Carson bellowed making me flinch and try to scoot back further. "Uh sorry for scaring you, and taking you," Carson said nervously. "Why?" I questioned, wondering why anyone would take me. "Ok, this is going to sound weird but us three are vampires, and you're my mate." Carson stated. The room was spinning. Vampires? Mate? What kind of sick home is this? Those were my last thoughts before passing out again. I heard yelling and jolted up. "Carson why the heck did you say it like that? She could go tell someone!" I think Shane yelled. I whimpered and tried to move away from the angry 'vampire'. "Calm down mates, you're scaring Vanessa," Ethan said quietly. Wow the one who made fun of my uneasiness is actually helping, note sarcasm. Ethan came over to me and I saw actual concern in his green eyes. "Are you okay? You don't look well," Ethan said. "I don't feel so great," I muttered, and just like that I was in Ethan's arms outside of a bathroom. I ran inside and threw up everything I had recently. Once I was done I rinsed out my mouth and walked back into the hallway. Ethan walked me back to the room I was currently occupying but Shane and Carson weren't in there. "You hungry?" He asked curiously. I shook my head no and said," I'm not hungry but could you get me some Aspirin?" He was back in a flash holding a bottle of water with two Aspirin. "Thanks," I said quietly then took the medicine. I lied back down and shivered. He covered me up and brushed back my hair then left. I lied there for what felt like an eternity before Carson walked in. "Are okay Ness?" He asked sitting next to me on the bed. I know I should be mad he made me a nickname, I should be mad he kidnapped me, but instead I felt like I could actually live here with him. I shrugged my shoulders in response to his question and just started at him. He lied down next to me and stared at me until I closed my eyes and flinched at the slight pain in my head. "What's wrong?" He asked panicked. I shook my head and said," Headache." He gave me a sympathetic smile in understanding before kissing my forehead and getting up. "Get some sleep Ness, I hope you feel better by morning." With that he walked out and I lied there until sleep wrapped me in its clutches.
