|| norway ; lukas bondevik ||

lukas gripped a plastic bag within his hands, racing through the trees. the house he shared with the rest of the wolves appeared in the horizon, giving lukas a bit of energy to push onwards. onwards. cool fall wind bit his ears, yet honestly the norwegian couldn't care less.

he was less then a few yards away when he heard it.

it was a wail, and it made lukas ignore all around him. the male stopped in his tracks, afraid to head inside, when he heard it again.

"ahhh."

lukas took another step forward, then another, but by the time he reached the door all cries had stopped. tensely, lukas reached for the door.

racing through the house, lukas knew exactly what he was going to find. the stench of blood hung in the air, and it almost made lukas gag. finally, he reached tino's room, swinging the door open.

there, on the ground, a seemingly lifeless corpse on the ground, the scarlet liquid draped all around. a pale - furred wolf loomed over it.

lukas slowly entered the room, feeling the wolf's violet gaze stalk his every move. he knelt beside the corpse, placing a hand along its spine, as it lay on its stomach. it was a female, her hair a dark golden in the dawning morning. lukas tensed.

he felt for a pulse, before feeling slight relief as a beating was felt at the tips of his fingers.

behind him he heard a soft buzz before tino crouched beside him, human form, using the same emotionless expression to gaze down at the girl.

"I wasn't thinking."

"of course you weren't fucking thinking."

"only a soft nip on her leg." tino whispered quietly. "that's all I meant to do."

"that is not a soft nip on her leg."

"she threw up."

"she needs a doctor."

lukas pinned his eyes on his companion with a hard, cold gaze. tino glanced back, although there was still nothing in his expression to show any form of concern.

gently, lukas hoisted the girl into his arms before gently carrying her through the hallway and out the front door. he didn't expect it, but he heard tino's soft footsteps behind him.

tino drove. lukas left his license behind in his house after his first transformation. the ride was quiet for the most part. until the silence became far too unbearable.

"tino."

"yes?"

lukas continued to stare out the window. "this is your last year, isn't it?"

tino didn't answer, and his grip tightened on the steering wheel. that was all lukas needed to crack the code.

the girl lay in the back seat, still breathing fine. using paper towels found in the car lukas managed to stop her bleeding, and it appeared she managed to fall asleep. tino had refused to do as much as glance at her since they left the house.

the car bounced slightly over what seemed to be a pothole, and the girl's breathing grew jagged. all lukas could do now was hope.
