Chapter Seven

My mind was going in overdrive. Tons of thoughts was going through my mind at what seemed like eighty miles an hour. I couldn't form proper sentences. My head started to hurt and I felt dizzy. The room started to spin in all different directions. I gripped the edge of the counter to try to balance myself, and to prevent me from fainting right here in Tyler's huge kitchen.

Tyler grabbed my shoulders. "Hey, calm down. We can't do this here, not when Nathan is in the other room."

What he said registered in my head and I tried to calm down by taking in huge gulps of air. "Tyler, what are we going to do?" I whisper yelled.

"Follow me," Tyler replied, walking into the other room with me following him. "Nathan, Amy and I need to go discuss some wedding plans for a moment. We'll be back down when we're done," Tyler called over his shoulder as he made it up the staircase leading to the floor that contained both of our bedrooms.

"Okay, do whatever you need to do. Don't mind me," Nathan shot back, his attention focused on the video game.

I followed him down the long hall till we made it to my door. I thought he was going to have us talk in my room, but he opened the door opposite from mine. The door leading into his room.

I stepped into his room and couldn't help but look around in curiosity. Even though I've been here for at least two weeks now, I've never been in his room. His room had a similar set up as mine. A big king sized bed was in the center of the room against the far wall. Along with two doors leading to his closet and bathroom. The only obvious differences was the black color scheme and the fact that he had no books or book shelves in his room.

"When you're done looking around we can talk about the current problem," Tyler said, bringing me out of my daze.

My cheeks heated up a tiny bit and I was brought back to the new thing I had to deal with. I sighed and plopped down in the chair next to his desk. "So, what are we going to do? We only have the rest of this week before your parents come. It's Tuesday, we have three days, Tyler. Three days." My heart beat was starting to speed up again as my mind reeled with all the bad scenarios that could happen while his parents were here.

Tyler walked over to me. "Hey, we'll be fine. We might not have had as much time to prepare as I had hoped, but everything should go as planned. First, we'll have to tell them about our engagement. When we're done explaining to them, my mom will probably want to go out for dinner to celebrate." He paused in thought for a moment. "So here's what we're going to do, tomorrow we'll go into town and go shopping. We'll buy you a dress for the dinner, and we'll act like a normal couple the whole time. Does that work for you? It gives us one last chance before they get here."

Tyler looked so sure of himself. So positive that this will work. He better, I thought, he's the one that came up with the idea.

I thought about it for a moment. Well, what other choice did we have, more importantly, what other choice did I have? Besides, it's the best plan that we have at the moment, considering the time limit we're running on. "Okay, I guess we can do that. After all, I have to do what you say, right? So why even ask me for my oppinion?" I was surprised by how fast my mood had changed.

He was too. His eyes widened and his expression changed, like I had hurt him. Then his face went blank. Why should he feel hurt? After all he's the one that kidnapped me and ruined my life. If anyone should be hurting right now, it's my family and me.

I turned my back on him and walked out of his room. "We better get back down stairs to keep Nathan company," I said, knowing that Tyler was behind me.
