"Wait wait wait. Can you do that again but slower." Louis asks me.

I roll my eyes and begin to slowly sign: Hi Louis how's your day been?

"Hi Louis, uhm uh." Louis says.

Right now Louis and I are practicing my sign language. I've picked it up a lot faster than he has. But I'll just give him some time. He knows a few sentences like "What's for dinner?" And "I finished school.". We both learned the alphabet in sign language so I usually have to things spell out. We go to the sign language classes 3 times a week and it helps a lot with communication.

Can we be done now? I sign.

"Can we be done, done, now! Oh now!" He says.. "Yeah I was about to suggest the same thing, I'll go see if one of the boys started dinner."

"Okay." I sign.

I get off the floor where we were sitting and jump on my bed. I sit Indian style and open up my laptop. Recently, I was allowed to go back on my Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and all that stuff. All over the internet there were stories about how I got "lost" and such. They didn't want to make the boys look bad, and I guess neither did I. A part of me still never forgave them for what they did too me. But I guess I would have never met Anna or Blake. Speaking of Blake. I slide off my bed to go find him.

I wander down to his room, which is the guest room, and peek in. Blake is sitting on his bed probably still working on school, which I finished two hours ago. I knock on his door so he knows I am in his room. He looks up from his computer and groans.

"Oh it's you again." He says tossing his laptop to the side.

I flip my hair dramatically. I grab his laptop off his bed and open word, I begin to type something: My best friend before everything happened is coming over today and she doesn't know what exactly happed. Be nice.

"Why wouldn't I be nice?" He says.

I give him a look.

"Alright I'll be nice." He says.

Laykin and I have been texting and she knows something is different since the last time she saw me. I invited her over so I could explain, we tried to hang out last night but it was a school night for her. It still is a school night for he being it is Tuesday but it's only four o'clock so she's staying for dinner. I walk out of Blake's room and into mine. I tidy up little things and vacuum my floor. I look over at my phone to see it had lighten up with a text message.

Laykin: Hey J I'll be at your house in less than five minutes :D

Me: Okay(: See ya soon :D

I start to get nervous because what if Laykin doesn't like me because I can't talk and we can't do the same things we use to. Maybe she'll hate me for leaving her. Although it wasn't my choice it's still an option. I set down my phone and look out my window. I see a car pull in and Laykin get out of the passenger seat.

I take a deep breath and walk out of my room towards the front door. I can hear footsteps and then the doorbell ringing. I wait a few seconds and then open the door. Then I saw Laykin, she had her blonde hair up in a bun and a navy blue and white striped skirt on, she had a white tank top tucked into her skirt.

"Kayley!" She says giving me a giant hug, I hug her back, it's so nice to see my best friend again.

"Oh my gosh you have no idea how much I've missed you!" She says.

I nod my head and smile.

"Are you going to say anything?" She says smiling.

I grab her hand and pull her into my room. I really didn't want to explain everything in front of the boys who I knew were watching.

I sit down on the floor and pat the spot next to me. Laykin looks at me confused but then sits down next to me. I open up word on my laptop like I do whenever I talk to someone.

Okay Laykin, I have a lot of explaining to do, if you are ever confused on what happened just tell me to stop. Here I go, it started that day your mom dropped me off at my house, the day Ashlyn, Gracie and Andi were being super mean to me at school. I came home crying, sobbing actually and all I wanted to do was talk to Louis and Niall. But when I came home they were not there. Instead of them Mrs. Turters who was the owner of the Orphanage I use to live in she was standing in my living room I was confused at first until she explained to me the boys were giving me back. I stayed at the orphanage for a couple months, that's when I met Anna. Anna was a little five year old girl who I considered my little sister. The conditions at the Orphanage were unbelievably terrible and Anna and I needed to get out of there quickly. So I did what I had to do, I ran away with Anna. Along the way I met a boy named Blake, he's 15. He joined us for a while. In order to eat we had to steal stuff from stores. One day I was stealing some food from a small store. I ran into Eleanor, Louis's girlfriend. The police had gotten to us much faster than we had expected. We had to run, in the scramble to leave we all got split up. Anna ran into the street and was hit by a car.

I pause at this part.

Anna died that day. Blake and I were taken back to the police station where we found out about Anna, with all this traumatizing stuff I went through I had fainted and when I awoke in the hospital I had terrible news awaiting me. You probably are wondering why I can't just tell you this, it's because I became mute. I cannot speak and I might be able to again or I might not be able to. So really in other words I've been through hell and back.

I stop typing and look up at Laykin.

"Oh my god. Kayley, I really have no idea what to say. I can't even. I'm so happy you're back and also so sad at the same time." Laykin tells me.

I smile at her.

"Okay but how are you with the rest of the boys?" She asks me.

We're much better than we use to be. I type.

"Good. Okay so I don't know if this is too soon but I have A LOT to tell you. " Laykin says giggling.

I wave my hand telling her to continue.

We sit in my room for while Laykin catches me up on everything I missed. She and Rikki, the girl I met on my last day, had become really good friends. They are the only two that know the real story about what happened, I wasn't lost but given back. Ashlyn and her crew still hate her and they still talk crap about me even though I don't even go to school there anymore. Laykin told me about this new girl they're friends with now, her name is Izzy she seems really talkative and nice from what Laykin told me.

"Anyways we should all have a sleepover this weekend." Laykin tells me.

I nod my head.

Louis sticks his head into my room.

"Dinners ready." He tells me.

What's for dinner? I sign.

"Pizza." He tells me.

Of course. I sign.

Louis walks out of the room and Laykin gives me this really weird look.

"How did you do that?" She asks me.

Do what? I type.

"You just liked moved your hands and he knew what you meant." Laykin says.

It's called sign language. I type and laugh,

Laykin face palms and we walk out of my room.

Maybe things could be normal again.
