Chapter 4- I make some new friends.

Crystal's POV

After my near death experience, Daniel told me that it was already 9 am, the time for lessons to start.

"Its Element Class now. Your class is at the Water Room. Miss Madison should be teaching you." Daniel said. "Shall I walk you there, Miss Brisbane?" He continued in a horrible fake British accent, holding out a hand.

I slapped it away. "Daniel, no more pranks. Just take me to class."

He fake pouted abit, but led me to my classroom.

We reached a room labelled 'Water' in big, bold letters, stopping at the doorway. The people in the class were pretty much staring at us, mostly girls, and especially at Daniel. I felt a twinge of jealously? but Daniel seemed oblivious to my reaction.

"So, we've reached the class. Principal Sophia should have appointed someone to show you your classes until we can get you to your locker. I'll show it to you during lunch. You'll get to meet the rest of The Five at lunch too." He paused for a while, to catch his breath.

"Well, until we meet again, Your Highness." He bowed down low, and stood up with a grin. He then strode off to his class.

I felt myself blush. Wait. Where am I getting these emotions from?I mean, he's annoying! I couldn't like him, could I?

"A little lovestruck are we?" A voice suddenly arose. I quickly turned towards the door to see a girl standing there. She had bouncy brown hair that reached her shoulders, and darkly coloured eyes. A smile played itself on her lips.

"Daniel makes alot of girls fall for him." She stuck out a hand. " Hey, Crystal. The name's Emma." I took her hand.

"Nice to meet you, Emma."

"Why don't we get in there. You'll be sitting next to me." She lead me to a row with 3 tables. There was already a boy with similar features to Emma sitting at one of the tables. He was engrossed in a book.

"Crystal. This is my older twin, Evan. Say hi, Evan"

"Hi, Evan." He mumbled, and continued reading.

"Don't mind him. He's like that. Evan, keep your book! Teacher's coming in!"

Evan scrambled to keep his book as Emma and I sat down hurriedly.

In came- Principal Sophia.

I was so surprised, I almost fell out of my chair.

Principal Sophia noticed me, and gave me a wink. She then continued " Hello, class. Today I'll be taking Miss Madison's place in teaching. Now, let's welcome Crystal Brisbane, she'll be joining you in class now. She is also the new Water Bearer, so I expect everyone to respect her, help her in any way possible." The class cheered loudly, and I turned a dark shade of red.

Principal Sophia smirked at me, seeing my reaction.

She then clapped her hands to get our attention.

"Okay class, let's start the lesson."

"So how was your lesson, Milady?" Daniel asked, standing outside the Water Room. I've finished the lesson and was walking out of the classroom when I spotted Daniel.

"It was the best lesson of my life." I said sacarstically, and tried to ignore the smirk forming on his face.

"Is that so? You must have a pretty lousy life then.", Daniel replied, and handed a map to me. "Here's the map of the school for you. Just in case you get lost." Daniel laughed out loud, before sidestepping to avoid getting hit by me. I swore under my breath, reminding myself to give him a good hard punch later on.

"Ready to meet the rest?" He asked as I kept the map in my pocket.

"Umm, yeah." Actually I've been really worried. What if they don't like me? What if-. Stop it, brain! I chided myself mentally. I'd just have to play it by ear.

Sensing my discomfort, Daniel said "Hey. It'll be alright. ", and patted my arm comfortingly.

I looked at him and he gave me a reassuring smile. I then let out a sigh. "Okay, lets go." I said, as Daniel led me to the cafeteria.

Upon reaching the cafeteria, Daniel led me to a room right at the end,which was supposedly reserved for The Five. 2 boys and a girl were already seated at the table in the room. I could see that they were in a heated conversation.

"- what do you think she'll be like?" the girl asked a boy sitting to her left.

"I don't know, April, just -" He got cut off by Daniel, who greeted them.

"Crystal, this is April Henderson. The Fire Carrier." Daniel pointed to the girl, who had a mane of curly red hair that was slightly longer than her shoulders. April immediately pulled me down and made me sit next to her.

"Finally! Another girl! I've been stuck with these 3 boys for a year!" She exclaimed, a glint of mischief in her gold eyes. I could feel a spark of friendship towards her.

Daniel coughed to get my attention. "Umm, this is Ryan Owens." He pointed to the guy who was talking to April earlier on. He had mud-brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Hi, Crystal. Im the Earth Keeper."

I nodded and asked Daniel, "What about him?" And pointed to the last boy.

Daniel immediately scowled on impulse, but regained his composture. "That guy, is called Abel Maxwell. The Air Wielder." Daniel gritted out. Ooh, touchy subject.

"Ah, don't mind him." Abel's silver eyes flashed with obvious amusement. "We've had a little.........disagreement." He rubbed his hand against his black hair, and grinned.

"Disagreement?!?" Daniel shook with fury."Why you little-"

"Daniel !!! Control yourself!" April shouted, silencing him.

Abel sighed. "Good. Now, lets talk about the threat at hand, shall we? Matthew, the previous Air Wielder has offered his assistance. He will train us in perfecting our fighting skills." He paused for a while, to let that sink in.

"We have known that a new enemy has risen, one that we have not much information about. That's why they have included sword-play in our schedule this year. Now, all we can do now is to train."

He stopped, thinking for a moment before adding, "and hope for the best."

Hey you people! Grace here. *sighs happily* I finished this chappie!!!

Writer's block sucks. Dudes. Do not try this at home. Its all thanks to Zi Qi I made it out alive. I think half my soul is still stuck somewhere in the Underworld.

I'm not gonna mention the bad guy position, cuz you people know what I mean.

School's starting in 3-4? days, and there are 2 options. 1) I'll be too busy to update on weekdays, or 2) I'll come here for refuge against flying meteors filled with homework. Which option do you like better?
