The Ghoul & The Jester

There sat a ghoul chained with a fool

dressed brightly with bells on his head

and when the time came to banish the hunger

they were only tossed one loaf of bread.

Now the ghoul wouldn't share

nor was the fool fair

but the hunger devoured them most

They sat there staring at the scrumptious baked good

until one of them finally broke.

"Give it to me you need not eat you are not as hungry as I" said the fool

"Bunkum and balderdash you big fat oaf your belly's as vast as the sky" said the ghoul

They were equally hungry so close to death

yet they fought to keep alive

but if one were to die then God help the other

for the loneliness would eat at their minds.
