Matt was walking ahead of the two, but he suddenly stopped in his tracks which almost made Nina trip.

"Will you stop doing that?"

"Will you stop being so unmindful all the time?"

Nina crossed her arms and looked intently at Matt with a what-did-you-just-say expression on her face.

"Okay, i'm sorry, now look at this" Matt pointed towards the notice board.

It was a pamphlet about the writing competition they were so happy about.  Nina shook Demi in excitement as she read out the possible genres.

"Crime fiction!"  Nina and Demi screamed in union.

"Oh shit!"  Matt exclaimed.

"I didn't know you were into crime fiction too, Demi."

"I do, guess you didn't know me that well." Demi started waking away from them.

What just happened there?

"Wait, what happened?"  Matt  looked at Nina surprised.

"I have no idea"

They didn't expect Demi to behave this way, little did they know, Demi took her passions and competitions  very seriously. She did change a lot after her parents divorce. She became, selfish.

I didn't want to hurt you, Nina. But you were in my way. I can't live with it.

They resumed walking towards their class, occasionally turning back to see if Demi was playing some sick prank on them. The corridor was empty. They soon realized, Demi was in fact very serious about this competition.

                                                                           ********************

Nina was lost in her own thoughts, thinking about Demi's strange behavior, about what in the world was Tristian doing here. She was oblivious about the fact that her name was being called.

"Nina!"

"What?!" She screamed, startled by her name being called.

Shit.

She realized the teacher was calling her out.

"I'm sorry, professor"

"No. Out of my class, this instance!"

Nina, hung her head low and slowly walked out of the class. Matt looked at her in utter disbelief.

She started walking towards the corridor, she stood near the notice board, where the competition details were put up.

Competition, my arse!

"So you got kicked out?"  said a awfully similar voice.

That voice?

Nina turned around. It was Tristian, flashing a million dollar smile at her.

"Yes. You too?"

"Nah, i don't get kicked out."

Here we go again.

"Okay." Nina started walking away.

"Wait." Tristian held her hand

He held my hand and in that moment i swear, we were ONE.

"Okay, You can let go of me now."

"Sorry." Tristian let go of her hand.

She had the softest hand, they were slender and long.  The moment felt like forever, she's different and i think i may have fallen for her.
