I try to maintain a normal life.
My parents, my brother, and my family on the whole…they’re normal.
I on the other hand, is far from what you consider normal.
While growing up, my parents tried pushing me out of their lives little by little. My brother thinks I’m a freak. My family on the whole distance themselves away from me as far as possible.
That’s because they know who I really am.
You see, I’m not a normal human being. I don’t even think I can classify myself as a human. I mean what human have the power to control earth, wind, fire and water. Not to mention a way over the average IQ for a 19 year old.
Do I miss my family? The simple answer is no. The more complex answer however is different.
I’m just simply an outcast, a shadow in my family’s mind.
No 19 year old and living on my own. I live in a small apartment in Bradford. A general 200 miles from London, where most of my family live. That’s far enough.
I pay rent by working in a small bakery nearby. No one knows about my special abilities so life in Bradford is like a new beginning for me. Clean slate, new start and a great way to forget my past.
Or so I thought so…
