Once again my heart stopped in my chest and my breath caught in my lungs. Finally, those fantastic blue eyes that I fell in love with were opening. After two weeks of hoping and waiting, I would finally get to be with the love of my life once again. Mrs. Connor walked into the room startling me, I quickly shot up from my seat and tore my eyes away from Adain and rushed to Mrs. Connor's side. I looked her strait in the eye and told her what was happening, while wheeling her to the foot of the bed. There we stood standing, hand in hand with my head on her shoulder and her head on top of mine. When Adain's eyes stopped fluttering and his eyes actually opened, we both broke apart and we both went to separate sides of the bed.

All we could actually do was stare down at Adian. Just as Adain started moving his head slightly and rapidly blinking his eyes, the doctor walked in for his daily check up. "Great," I sarcastically thought to myself just as Adain is waking up, we are going to forced to wait longer to see him so the doctor can check up on everything. Just as I thought, the doctor wanted us the wait outside the room. Mrs. Connor quickly whipped out her cell phone from her from left pant pocket and dialed her husband to inform him of the news. We waited outside the room for about five or so minutes, before Doctor Newbury told us it was ok to come in. Right before I walked into the room, I once again I started to get that certain feeling like something was wrong. I groaned to myself knowing that last time I got this type of feeling, I ended up here. I took a deep breath and prepared myself for whatever lay ahead of me.

Right before I stepped into the room, I was gently grabbed by my elbow. I defensively swiveled around to see that it was Mr. Connor who had grabbed onto me. "My gosh! You startled me," I somewhat whisper-shouted. "My apologies, Olivia. We should be heading inside to see Adain," I nodded my head in agreement. "It's ok," I said shooting a small smile in his direction before I continued with what I wanted to ask, "Mmm, Mr. Connor how did you get here so fast, your office is half way across town?" He chuckled and answered "I had a meeting a few blocks down and as soon as Emma called telling me that Adain was awake, I quickly rushed over here." As we turned around the door song open and Mrs. Connor poked her head out. "There you two are, come, come, I've been talking to the doctor we can now see Adain," she said while gesturing us with her hands.

Mr. Connor walked into the hospital room after I did, and shut the door quietly behind him. Mrs. Connor grabbed her husband's hand and pulled him to her side lovingly. The doctor was still in the room and came to greet the two of us. "I asked Adain if he remember anything from the car crash and he remembers little parts and bits of it. I'm afraid that Adain may have amnesia and I'm not quite sure the severity of it. Right, now I just want him to been around family. Another way to check if there is farther damage to his brain, if he can't remember any of you it's quite severe and there is nothing we can really do to help amnesia patients," the doctor quickly whispered to us so that Adain couldn't hear us. Shit, this doctor was making me nervous. I rubbed the bridge of my nose out of frustration and let out a deep sigh.

We finally broke apart from our somewhat of a huddle and the four of us walked toward a seemingly nervous Adain. I was in the back of all four of us and the Connors where in the front. Mr. and Mrs. Connor walloped over toward the lot side of the bed, Doctor Newbury was at the foot of the bed and I was left for the right side of the bed. Adain's head was turned toward his parents and then he finally spoke. "Mom, dad?" he asked questioningly. "What happened? All I remember were bright lights coming toward me and now... I'm here," he told his parents. "I also feel like there is so much more missing from this story. I just can't seem to render what it is," he spoke once again. "Oh my gosh, on my gosh, oh my gosh," I started chanting to myself. "What the hell is he talking about, please don't tell me... Oh my gosh," I thought to myself. I was unable to catch my breath; I started to feel the sting of tears in my eyes and blinked them away.

I just need him to turn his head and look at me, just one look is all I need and just when I thought he would never turn his head it happened. Just like that he took a quick glanced over toward me and did a double take. I knew in that instance that my worst fears just came alive. Adain didn't have to utter a single word for me to know that he was questioning who I was; he didn't know who I was. His eyes held no recognition as to who I was; his eye didn't brighten and pull up at the sight of me. His eyes roamed over me before he asked that one earth shattering question "Who are you?" I took a sharp intake of breath and tried my best not to let a whimper of pain from escaping my lips. I tried my best to open my mouth and explain who I was, but the words just couldn't seem to come out. "She's Olivia, your fiancée," someone finally said for me.

His eyes widened and he whipped his head toward the voice. "What! Fiancée? What do you mean fiancé? Last thing I remember is boarding a plane to Los Angeles and bright lights coming toward me," Adain stated. I held on to the side of the bed to keep myself from falling over, and tried to keep as calm as possible. Adain didn't remember the last five years of his life; just like that five years of memories were gone; deleted.

Dr. Newbury was all but forgotten about until he cleared his throat "From the looks of what's happening Adain has Post-Traumatic Amnesia. There is no known therapy to restore memories lost from retrograde amnesia. Some people never remember. Others spontaneously recover their memories hours, days, weeks, months, and occasionally even years later. Amnesia usually retroacts as time goes on, and the brain has time to heal itself. This is supplemented by the assistance of people who can remind the person what they had done as well as memory cues, which would eventually tell the brain to retrieve a past memory," Dr. Newbury told us with a solemn expression on his face. With that Dr. Newbury left the room and the four of us were left to figure things out on our own.

Chapter Six is up after several weeks of unmotivation from me. I finally came from my little writing  depression and got some advice as to what to do with my story. I was stressing myself about trying to fix every single thing in my book to the point where I didn't feel like writing anymore, because I thought I was no good. I really wanted to delete my book and never think about writing. But after some good advice I'm back and better then ever. I'm saving all the editing until the VERY end of the book. If something is really wrong, like a sentence makes no since, please tell me and I will fix it.

Well that was serious...

Next week from 7/21 to  7/24 I will be at lacrosse camp and will have no way of posting a chapter, but don't fret I'm working on Chapter 7 as we speak... or type... or read.
